The scripture found in John 12:32 gives every preacher the foundation for which they are called. Yes you must seek the truth for yourself because you may just know more than those standing in the pulpit. God does have a remnant of chosen people. That is a common myth. There is nothing on record to suggest Pope Alexander VI commissioned any paintings of Jesus that resembled Cesare Borgia. The painting that was painted for King Louis XIV was painted by Leonardo Da Vinci, called Salvotore Mundi. Michelangelo in his painting of the Sistine Chapel depicted Jesus as beardless, which upset the RCC. Why? Because Jesus had been depicted since the 5th century with a beard. Leonardo's painting Salvatore Mundi (Savior of the World) was also a beardless Jesus. The church would not have approved either painting. This proves that there was never a commission to depict Jesus as white, he has always been depicted based on the locale of the artist. In Ethiopia, he looked Ethiopian, in China, he was Chinese, etc;. BECAUSE NO ONE KNEW WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE. The early church actually forbid paintings, engravings, etc; aka graven images. Statues and images didn't really start to appear until 300 years later after Christ.
