The concept for GFriend in their early days was Powerful Innocence. They look so innocent and young but their dancing created a sensation in the industry at the time as no girl group danced as powerfully as they did. Hence they created a new concept rather than following the cutesy dances of similar groups they were compared with. You only see this power and amazing synchronisation during their dance practice videos when there are no close ups so nothing is missed by cutting away from the dance.

And these nice girls were great, cool, and showed various concepts, so they gave Buddy a great impression and happiness. The middle song in their school trilogy is Me Gustas Tu which became one of the most famous Kpop songs of all time in Korea. It was the first song to get more than 100 million streams on the Gaon Chart which for a rookie group in their first year from a bankrupt and unknown company is an astonishing achievement. The song was played over loudspeakers on a loop of just two songs with BTS into North Korea on the border when tensions were high between them and is played by the military band in public on state occasions. Everyone in Korea knows that song whether aged 9 or 90!

Me gustas tu, Rough. two songs will go down in history as legendary music representing K-pop even after 100 years. It left a huge impact on the history of Korean pop culture and I heard these songs all over the country, on any street. If there is a performance that symbolizes peace with North Korea, GFRIEND will be invited.

@@GFD0116 thanks for that local insight and confirmation that my words were not overstating the facts. It sounds as though you live in Korea which means that you have a chance to meet them from time to time. That is an impossible dream for me as I am literally on the other side of the world to them living in a country where they are virtually unknown. The UK 🇬🇧 is only just getting used to Kpop and radio play of any song from even the biggest groups is a major rarity and has to be sung entirely in English to feature. I hope to see VIVIZ at a concert one day as consolation for never seeing GFriend in person.

The korean title for 'Rough' is 'Running through time'. This song and its mv were inspired by the famous anime film 'The girl who leapt through time'. Fun fact: the girls were even made to watch the movie to better convey the feelings of the song.

But if it about a comeback, i honestly don't think it will happen this year considering the members' busy individual activities, but who knows. However, it is very likely that gfriend comeback will occur in 2025

Gfriend has a different logo for each of their comebacks. Here 5:36 and 13:50, u can see the logo at the very end of each MV.

The video was uploaded 6 years ago, because it is the 1theK channel (with subtitles), the original is on the GFRIEND OFFICIAL channel uploaded as expected on January 15, 2015 (the date of MV is always indicated at the beginning of the MV in the corner). And yes, in case you were wondering, the oldest one (Sowon) had just turned 19 at that time, and the two youngest (SinB & Umji) were only 16.
