@@alien8742 TheFatRat has an album called Parallax that he released in 2021. Definitely go check it out if you haven’t yet it’s AMAZING. By story we mean all the songs in the album connect and have a story. And since he put “chapter one” in the title for this song we assume this is going to be another album like parallax. Hope that clarified things :)

I love how just for a moment about half way through the song you get a glimpse of the great city just beyond the rain. Then finally revealing itself entirely at the end to see just how dystopian their world is.

I'm a 58 year old bloke and the fat rat is and is' on my play list in my car, so up beat LOVE IT.
My prediction of the story is about how 2 siblings discovered a ancient relic that can grant them wishes. One of the siblings wishes to use it to indulge his/her demands, while the other sibling wants to use it for their SUSTAINABILTY before using it to help others. Eventually the first sibling takes it and either bears some sort of curse or realizes the error of his/her way after the other dies/ and they reconcile
