What I like about this song is the maturity of the lyrics. Especially the line "either you want me or you don't, you want me or we go back to being friends" because it means he loves this person and never wants to be apart, even though their love story don't work out. I met this girl in one of my engineering classes in college. I remember that I enrolled in this class because it was required. I really didn't want to have to take that class. It was at 8 AM and there were other classes I didn't get into. Anyway..the first day of class, I remember walking in and seeing her all alone in there. She had arrived really early. I immediately thought she must have been there by mistake. I decided to sit next to her and start a conversation. It turned out she was in the right place. She was an exchange student from Scandinavia studying environmental sustainability. She was just about as perfect as you can imagine. I didn't want to come off as creepy or anything so I just treated her like a classmate. We worked on a couple projects during that semester. She made this class enjoyable despite having to be there at 8 am. We sat next to each other all semester and became very comfortable with each other throughout. I was definitely attracted to her but never did anything about it. I knew she was only gonna be there for a semester so I assumed she wasn't looking for anything with me anyway. Well...towards the end of the semester she suggested we hung out after class. This hit me by surprise. I remember having this important test coming up, so I suggested doing something another day. We agreed to renting a little boat and having a "date". I was anticipating this day so bad but for some reason this never happened. She canceled last minute. I'm not gonna lie...this got me pretty upset. The last few weeks of the semester were very cold between us. She tried to talk to me but I remained distant. I have to admit I acted childish. On the last day of class I remember her trying to talk to me but I was not reciprocating. She stood up from her seat next to me and moved somewhere else in the middle of the lecture. It was there that I knew I had ruined something that could've been special. I never got to say goodbye to her. The semester ended and she went back home. The title of this song reminds me of that semester. I still ask myself if there's a chance I'll see her again. I know that it might be too late to pick up where we left off but I'd still like a chance to ask her to forgive me. If there's anything I can say is to not hold resentment for petty reasons. I don't know if she got upset because she liked me or just because I was being a shitty person. What I do know is that life is too short to be missing out on opportunities because of your ego. So, people, remember nothing happens by accident. Seize the moments because if you don't you may spend the rest of your life wondering what could've happened.

ABOUT THE BAND Stepping off the stage after their very first club date, Josh, Sal, and Alex were tugged aside by producer Bosco Mann whose seasoned ears had been tickled by their set. Backs were patted, hands were shook, and three days later heads were bobbing in Mann’s Riverside studio, as the Souls laid their first notes to tape. Inspired by the souldies around which they were reared, Alex Garcia and Sal Samano found chemistry when they began cutting bedroom demos of rhythm tracks together in 2019. Multi-instrumentalists both, Alex migrated from the guitar to the drums where he discovered the sensitive touch and unique feel that would be the pillowy pulse of the band’s sound, while Sal learned to carve winding bass lines through the deep spidery grooves of their vamps. Though the jams they created together were scintillating, it wasn’t until they connected with vocalist Josh Lane that the real sound of Thee Sacred Souls came into focus. I was raised in Otay in the 70s, and whenever this song comes on, it takes me right back. I can feel the hot dirt under my feet and smell the Mexican food and pot smoke. Like it was yesterday.

I recall so many memories with a special person of mine , that we used to be so happy , it felt like a lucid dream.....now after 1 + of our break up , i feel that I leave in a cruel reality with out her ....I miss her every day .....thinking about us and how we used to be .....and I wish to my self , that I would have taken some better choice with her ......if she ever sees this .....i wanna let you know that I still love you with my whole heart 😢❤️ Wish to all of you reading this that have a wonderful day and remember to be the best you ....every day ! Just finding out about this group I kinda wanna gate keep this beautiful music so nobody ruins it for me and acts like they discovered them but they need deserve recognition 😭
