one time I was playing Nancy in Oliver and Bill pulled of Fagin’s fake beard off in the middle of a super dramatic scene. the audience D I E D laughing. everyone backstage was panicking. dogs across the US let out a sympathetic howl. I literally had to bury my face in Bill’s shoulder to keep from breaking character. (i was definitely breaking character) oops.

What’s really funny is that I have theater classes on Thursday and then I can watch this right after my classes!

I was in the show Big The Musical I don’t know if anyone’s heard of it but there were trampolines in the front of the audience and in the middle of the show one girl was doing a backhand spring and she fell of the trampoline and hit her arm and head on the pole of the trampoline. Yikes.

The worst thing to happen to me onstage was that I was playing June in “Anatomy of Gray” and I had a scene with the doctor, and I was supposed to hand him a note, just the two of us onstage. But my costume had no pockets so the note was just stuck in my bra strap (a super dumb idea). Well, this day, I went to reach into my blouse, and the note was gone. Panicked, I stuck my arm almost entirely down my blouse, and the guy playing Doctor Gray’s eyes got huge and the note was gone so guess who had to mime an important prop?? This gal 😂

The Little Mermaid: I was in the ensemble and during the song Les Posions, we were supposed to chase Sebastian around the stage. As I was running, my pants fell down. The worst part is that this is the filming crew recorded the show, so this mishap is forever in the cast memories...

when i was in fiddler on the roof, during our last show there was a TON of drama backstage about this rude crew member who asked a girl out when he had a girlfriend and she turned him down. so right before anatevka this kid is gossiping with someone about the crew member and is calling him names and turns out he missed his entrance and his mic was on and the audience heard everything he was saying. whoops!
