Builders in India are still following the same boring concepts where all bedrooms would look the same, a window for sunlight is never thought of since curtains don't necessarily allow light. They spend more time building false roofs and not bothered how plain, window-less walls, look chocking. This kitchen is not just rectangle and shrunk but has no character at all. Cabinetry looks cheap here as well, just as it does in most of the houses that I've seen Why can't they have a small area earmarked for washing machine instead of asking consumers to take it to the balcony? Hiding their flaws, builders throwing in a so-called "Theatre" is nothing new but just another शोशागिरी practice. Has anyone thought that leaving a 4-5' of space between the houses is not only aesthetic but also saves several problems ? Most new houses suffer creativity in designs just as the salesmen look as untrained using an unconvincing language and techniques. Sorry but disappointed, again ! Thanks

Hey friend, I share the same thoughts. It's just so boring to see all houses assumed to be like a box and then trying to fit everything in it, instead of designing things from the inside out. Do you have a few good aspirational design ideas and videos you can share here? I am in the process of designing a gathering for my first home ever and don't want to end up with a block of walls.

Before I can tell you more, please provide me with an idea about what exactly your plans are and also something about the space you wanna use. Am not sure what you meant by “designing a gathering”. I'm planning my house and plot dimensions are 26×59 north facing. I don't want wall all the sides and if possible I'm leave 1½ feet passage all three sides or atleast back(for utility) and east side for sure and minimum 10×12 for garden in front. I don't like houses where all 3 sides are covered.
