Theater Gone Wrong: Anika Larsen Dodges a Beautiful Disaster
When you play a lyricist, things get stressful when you forget the words.
Anika Larsen has only a little over a month at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre before she exits her Tony-nominated role as lyricist Cynthia Weil in ''Beautiful - The Carole King Musical''. As she prepares to bid farewell to Broadway, she looks back at an early onstage panic where a song verse slipped from her mind at a particularly inopportune moment. The consummate professional, she scraped her way back onto the right side of the cliff before the audience could realize she was mid-plummet - but she may have shortened her life span by a few years in the process.

"We're not professionals because we're perfect, we're professionals because when we're imperfect we can handle it." I love that!

yes!!!!!!!! I eat chicken for dinner!!!
Anika is such a talented woman. I have been lucky enough to see her in RENT, XANADU and BEAUTIFUL. Her debut cd, SING YOU TO SLEEP is absolutely amazing and there's even a duet with Jessie Mueller.
Thrown off by how her face is so clear and her hand is out of focus.

I believe they vignetted her since the people in the background had faces showing (for their privacy and so they wouldn't have to get release waivers from them.)
