Wow. I heard Cornette and Bischoff and everyone ripping this but I honestly didn’t think it would truly look THIS bad! I mean it’s almost weird, it’s like they’re just going through the motions with no heart. They tried really hard with this angle, but they told us that all of this was fake already. They told us that the very real incident where Punk shouted at Tony made him scared for his life and led to him being fired "with cause." Jungle Boy punches Tony and the Bucks piledrive him and they get to keep their jobs. The real incident that was a lot less physical led to worse consequences. This is AEW jumping the shark.

Good point. My idea for that would be for the Bucks to use their status as CEOs or whatever they are to the company. You can have them show their contract on TV or whatever stating that the Bucks can't be terminated for some reason. You can make something absurd up if you have to. There's definitely a way. Shoot, you could have them reveal that The Bucks own like 50% of the company if wanted to. This problem is very easy to bypass. This angle is very interesting. I don't even watch AEW but I totally sought this out. The Elite, as they're collectively known, could literally turn themselves into this generation's nWo. No bullshit. There's no way I would've said that a couple of days ago.

I’m a WWE shill so I’ve never really paid attention to AEW. Never been a big fan of the indie “20 super kicks after a powerbomb through a flaming table with a 2 count” style of wrestling. On paper this angle looked interesting, and I figured maybe this was the start of something fresh, but idk. I wasn’t a fan. I watched when the NWO attacked Bischoff right before this clip, and it’s night and day.

AEW going to worst after worst 😢

The Elite vs Kenny, Hangman, Swerve and another babyface would be a good match up to follow this storyline

I mean to be honest. WWE/wwf has been running for about what? 60 years or more? Almost every idea you can possibly do in wrestling has been done a hundred times over.
