The Yinan Tombs in China
Ойын-сауық
Located in China, the Yinan tombs are attributed to the Han dynasty era, known for its rich cultural heritage and advancements in arts and sciences. The significance of the site lies in its well-preserved state and the abundance of artefacts and iconography discovered therein. The mid-20th century excavation of these tombs marked a critical period of archaeological activity in China, despite political and geographical challenges restricting international collaborations.

This place is impressive, pre dynastic egyptian level of engineering. Especially with the dark stone, could have fooled me as a site in Saqqara. Amazing. There is no way these were tombs. Too bad the camera had to rush through the halls, I wanna see more and learn more about this place.

Artifacts as well.

I also saw the comparison to the finest ancient Egyptian engineering. Beautiful architecture. Splendidly built.
You gotta give props to ancient engineering. Those guys are amazing.
What tomb has a toilet? That's a bathroom in there! I have no doubt that in the past, homes and dwellings might turn into tombs when their residents pass away. But that does not mean it was made to be a tomb. I'm becoming more convinced we were an advanced society that knew we had to go underground for sometime. When a generation or 2 or 3 went by and it became safer to come up, these places became tombs!

Keen observation on that toilet (it even has a cut out for the testicles)and your theory about how those tombs were once dwellings is spot on.

古代中国帝王或是权贵的陵墓是复制他生前一切,将他的生前一切带到地下世界。
Talk about prime candidate for technical perfection… My goodness, the engineering prowess on display here is absolute. Even had the “Cobel-Vaulted” ceiling FOR the WIN. I am impressed.
This was all built with a single copper chisel and a lot of determination according to archeologists. Probably.
Check out the design of the ceiling, looks similar to kings chambers
love the Italian marbles and the LED lighting.
Gostaria de saber mais sobre esse lugar em algum documentário.
The site looked so incredible (and different from anything I have seen before) that I watched the long video after the short video. TY for posting. Vv cool 😎
Looks like there could be an inaccessible door or secret passage somewhere in that place.
It's beautiful no matter what the use was...
I'm 34 never have I seen this in my life.
The ancient Egyptian dynasty moved east to escape Rome and Greece. From China, it will eventually reach Japan. Please check out the ancient tombs of Japan. You can see the precision stonework comparable to this tomb. There are over 10,000 pyramids in Japan.
Absolutely fascinated by this tomb, so I managed to find more information online. Apparently the it was built during the Eastern Han period of China, about 2000 years ago, for an aristocrat named Marquis Hou. His family was prominent for many hundreds of years. Unfortunately the family got on the bad side of the famous warlord Cao Cao (of Dynasty Warriors fame), and Cao Cao had his entire clan murdered. As you can see, the tomb was exquisitely built, with carvings depicting Chinese mythologies such as the birth of the universe and the creation of man by gods. There are also carvings depicting scenes of daily life (for an aristocrat) from 2000 years ago. The tomb was looted many times during ancient times, so most of the grave goods were gone. Judging from the grandeur of the tomb itself, one can only imagine what treasures would have been buried with this high-ranking aristocrat. Despite the looting, archeologists did manage to find 87 items including coins and bronze ware
They usually didn't build toilets in tombs. Even back then. But here they did. 😅

The had to install one because one of the builders kept going outside for a bathroom break.
It would've been nice to show the ceilings, and not rush through as quick. I saw something that looked like what was on the ceilings in hindu temples. Just wish it wouldve slowed down and shown more.

Agreed. The camema person needs to slow down and let viewers have a chance to see some of the details
Very cool Holy Shaky Camera!
That floor is covering up lower passages. How do they know it was a tomb? Where are the bodies etc?
@mechannel7046

There are usually inscriptions describing who the buried person is, especially for a grand tomb like this. Unfortunately, a lot of the tombs have been looted, often in ancient times
It looks like a place for rituals amd ceremonies
I find it repulsive and disrespectful to the ancient when such achievements are always relegated to tombs and temples. Even more disdainful is when researchers claim it was done using crude tools like chisels and hammers.
Incredible tomb. Only wish the camera were a little more steady and not so rushed
seems very cool but cameraman can you please slow down you panning of an area as it seems you are in such a hurry that the video's quality is significantly deminished, just saying for next time.

Yep ive given this feedback for next time. Cheers
Bem interessante este lugar 👍
Looks like the few writing or glyphs on the sides were added later after construction?
... saw an ancient bucket.😊
It looks like they filled in the floor trying to cover something up
To me it looks like some kind of resonance chamber. Very wild whatever it actually was
what kind of floor is it? artificial?
What did they find here

Der Boden scheint mit Zement oder Beton überzogen zu sein. Ich meine, dort gehts noch viel tiefer...

They did a floor cover after discovering it.
I see cameras in the corners of the wall in second tomb. How will they not know who captured the video ?

It wasn’t a secret mission or anything, as cool as that would be, it’s open to the public.
Je trouve que ça ressemble à l’osireon d’Abidos
Why have a toilet in a “tomb”?🤐
It's interesting, but possibly the worst camera action i've ever seen. I feel a little bit drunk or seasick after watching this baby both. lol😊
It's a tomb .. of the archelogists intellect
It seems like the spirit has left the chambers and left no evidence of the writing
straight out of tomb raider. How is this possible to construct
Assasins Creed ISU temples :D
The cameraman SUCKS. The video is nauseating. The camera moves around way too fast and there is no time to focus on what you're looking at

Lei Cheng Uk Tomb Museum in Hong Kong is a similar Tomb . It was built 2000years ago during Eastern Han Dynasty
Doesn’t look anything like a tomb to me
Not a tomb.
That's no tomb. Sorry. It's as much of a tomb as the great pyramid of Giza is a tomb.

@johnwade9506 when the camera panned up, I looked at the staggered block lengths, and the first image that came to mind was the grand gallery.

Im really enjoying the videos :) Proper in depth exploration of locations is rare these days without using crap like history channel. I have some information for you about the sphinx you visited. The hole in the top of the head wasnt perfectly round originally, it was actually a hole but because it was unstable they put a manufactured cover on it. BUT the original hole was no accident. Look again. There is actually an entrance wound on the top of the sphinx in early images taken when it was first discovered showing the arrow lines up perfectly. The hole lines up precisely with the arrow head sticking out through the nose/eye socket. That arrow was said to have been put in the head of the sphinx after Zeus slaughtered all the beasts of Tiamat. The other entrance you showed is also ancient biology it is the colon of this animal. A lion with a human head attached. It was alive once long ago according to ancient texts. Just a fun fact. :)🙂
CGI!
I have spent a lifetime researching these and I will put my reputation on the line and tell you they did not have these lights back then much less “security cameras” the camera man does such a poor job of con-ceiling. Preposterous. The light bulb wasnt invented for another 30-40 years later. Thats right nothing gets by me. i suppose they have outlets ready to plug lights in on the ready or maybe your laptops 😂😂 i suppose youll say a Geni or generator was used to power them? Really? They had generators back then? 😂 Someone here has not thought this through. Obviously

You do know that when they open up historical sites to the public they install lighting so people can see? You are either joking around or you have not spent a lifetime researching. I’m not sure which right now
Looks more like ressurectio room... 😅
zero han, zero tomb, zero
Wow. What did they find and remove from that site! Bonkers. Always a tomb or a temple. 😜
