I have a close friend who always falls asleep during movies too! (To be fair, she _is_ a single mother of 3 who works her ass off at job that’s somewhat physically demanding.) We went to see Scream 6 in theaters last year and were SUPER excited about it. (We’d previously gone to see 5 in theaters as well but didn’t know each other when the prior films were released.) We requested the whole day off and everything but went with another friend of ours who also happens to be the assistant manager where we work so we had to wait for her to get off, thus it was a slightly later showtime than we would’ve preferred. (I don’t remember the _exact_ showtime but it _still_ wasn’t any later than like 9 pm.) She even took a 2 to 3 hour nap that day in preparation. So you’d think that, _surely,_ she was able to stay up for the full (not even) 2 hours of film that we’d signed up for, right? Oh hell no. LOL. The fact that our local theater had fairly recently been sold and remodeled, at which time they replaced all of their shitty standard seats with the hella comfy “leather” chairs that recline, mixed with the fact that she’s, well, who she is, resulted in her passing the fuck out during the CLIMAX of the film. We’re taking TONS of action and screaming/other loud noises and she was out cold. Thankfully, as we discovered on the ride home, as we discussed what she saw vs what she didn’t, she must not have slept for all _that_ long as she really didn’t miss very much. (Also, movies aren’t the only inopportune time that she falls asleep. She once, horrifyingly, totaled her car with like 7 other people in it at the tail end of a, roughly, 8 hour road trip to visit her grandmother in another state. In her defense though, no one else in the vehicle bothered to even _attempt_ to stay awake to help keep her alert. She was also the only one who drove during the entire trip due to everyone else in the car being too young to, aside from her selfish, lazy, princess/asshole of a sister. She was also LEGITIMATELY less than 4 minutes away from her house, so even though she was totally worn the fuck out and _knew it,_ she never even _considered pulling over to rest/freshen up a bit because, again, she was LESS than 4 MINUTES from her destination. I refuse to believe ANYONE who’d say that they’d pull over in that situation, no matter HOW f-in’ tired they are, is a liar. Straight up. LOL. I know that with roughly 3 minutes and 30 seconds left in _my_ drive, I would never even _entertain_ the idea of pulling over and prolonging my hell even longer. LOL. Still, it was INCREDIBLY dangerous/scary and she learned to NEVER push herself like that EVER again. Aaaand, thankfully, no one was injured at all. But I digress. I simply wanted to make note of the fact that she‘s just a totally fucking exhausted human being in general!!) Soooo… yeah, I just typed ALL OF THAT out so that I could say, Sam, you are FAR from being alone when it comes to people who are “serial sleepers” at/during movies! (I really have to laugh at myself for taking the time to type all of this bullshit out. LOL. There’s no way that Sam will EVER see/read this. Nor will QT, nor Caroline. In fact, most of the “regular”/non-streamer folks who actually DO read the comments won’t even bother reading all of this because of how absurdly and annoyingly long it is. LOL. Oh well. I just got home from an extra long and super hellish day of work, hit my “computer doobie” a couple times in an attempt to relax/unwind, parked my happy ass on my couch, and began watching this fabulous The Yarn video, only to make an ass out of myself in the comments. Eh. Shit happens. LOL. 🤷🏼
