Get entered to win this bike! It's a real gem. Go to yammienoob.co A few notes before you crucify me: 1. I realize now that many models include the negative throttle turn to cancel cruise control! I guess I never noticed. 2. I misspoke about the high and low speed compression settings. I meant to say that they are included in each leg of the fork, the outside bolt adjusts one and the inner clicker adjusts the other.

OMG that's the exact model, color bike my son was horribly injured on in February. He was almost killed when someone turned left in front of him. That bike was in pieces, I mean many pieces, the entire frame seemed to disintegrate. Painful to look at. He loved it so much. Now he cannot walk. 😞 If anyone reading this is a believer, please pray for him to regain his ability to walk. I miss my riding buddy.

I hope he recovers well and quickly, sorry to hear that.. Drivers need to be more wary.. Before they injure or even kill someone. I live in Indonesia, here it is a must for cars to be wary of scooters and tiny motorcycles, as they are the terrors of the town. But in the western world, to me it seems everybody driving there is not very aware.

8:04 Sorry, but you've got that the wrong way round. High and low speed damping doesn't refer to the speed of the machine, it does refer to the speed the shock travels through its stroke. If you're doing 90 on a smooth motorway, then low speed damping will be operating, but if you hit a pothole at 30 in town, then the high speed damping circuit will come into play.

2023 MT-09 was my first bike. I had it fully modded, sprint filter, intake mod, Yoshimura full exhaust, and ECU flash from Vcyclenut along with plenty of other goodies. Once I tuned the MT-09, totally different bike! Night and day difference in its willingness to wheelie. I have a 2023 MT-10 SP now that I got for $13k brand new. Deal I couldn’t refuse! I love the MT-10 SP! It is such a bad ass bike! The CP4 engine is undeniably one of the best sounding bike engines ever. It wheelies more often and sometimes unexpectedly than the MT-09 did. I have a video of my front end just coming up in second as I was approaching 90mph. The MT-09 is a great bike, but the MT-10 is better imo

Buying an MT-09SP later this year when I can find a dealer with it in-stock -- got my first bike, brand new MT07, in late 2021. First time I'd ever been on a bike was MSF that August. 8700 miles now and ready for a little more power on the highway... and it's time to buy a full suit and get out for a track day at Homestead :) Throwing on another Akrapovic exhast, 2WDW tune, tail tidy+TST tail light and DONE!

I ride a 2019 R6 and I have to say, this bike is absolutely gorgeous. It's the first naked bike that's really attracted me to naked bikes. It will be my next bike, next year maybe. Funny you bring up the weird frame design. A worker at the dealership near me was saying that they are questioning the build quality of this bike after several crashed 09s basically detonated themselves. Nothing serious, just some lowsides. Maybe they save money but if you lay it down its probably done for.

Compression “speed” is a reference to rate of suspension compression as result of road imperfections impacting the movements of the wheel, not speed of the motorcycle, sharp bumps in the roads are what are addressed by high speed compression adjustment low speed compression is intended to address wallowing as a result of “wavy” pavement surfaces.

The title made me think of you as an enemy Yam. However, you recovered nicely by the end. I have this exact bike and love it to pieces. People always comment on the swing arm and overall look. I've added some legal bar end mirrors, a full akrapovic titanium exhaust system (baffles in) and this thing moves. I may change out the air filter and get a proper tune when finance is finished but honestly, I can't think of much else it needs that I would get use out of (I don't ride on track). I love disappointing drivers that try it on at the lights and realise I'm not even out of gears 1-2 and have gapped them significantly. 😂

It sounds dumb but the welds on the frame of the s1000rr, drive me nuts. They just make it feel unfinished and cheap compared to the rest of the bike.

Yeahhh...no. castings will always be cheaper and more importantly weaker. Welded frames necessitate forgings because castings are too porous on molecular level to be welded. Too much anecdotal evidence tells the tale. Many of these bikes are written off in minor front end collisions and the frames are in pieces. My buddy had a moderate collision in his 2014 FZ and other than the tubes being misaligned it just needs a new headlight and front stay frames solid. Its a shame but sacrifices must be made to maintain the pricepoint. Curious to see what failures the stunt bros will see, micro cracks galore.

44.0 MPG... I've never had a bike that big to know exactly how good that is, But if I am to believe the TFT on my 118km old (yes that's 000,118km) Suzuki V-Strom 250SX. I'm getting 3.2L/100km which after doing a heap of annoying math to convert it to what Americans alone can understand, that's 75mpg! (and yes that is better than a 49cc scooter) If you don't get this bike there, you are missing out bigtime!

So, about those “air intakes”. Before you call them the real deal, take that plastic off and make sure. The MT-10 looks exactly the same, and the ram air intakes are 100% fake. It’s fully blocked off.

A lot of this isn't exclusive to this bike. It's a naked bike. They all have exposed bits. You can see straight through the "engine compartment" on my nake bike. And if you drop it, you'll break things. Naked bike stuff...you know.

BTW practically every point you make applies to the regular MT-09 but you just kept saying "SP" almost as if it is a different model which its not....the SP just a a very few upgrades particularly better suspension components other than that I think it comes maybe with another electronics option or two and of course different paint. Otherwise it is the identical motorcycle folks....and IF you are not one to take advantage of the better suspension? Especially I think if you are heavy and are going to have to spend some bucks getting resprung? And money is tight at all you would lose very little with the standard. I like canyon carving so I personally would pony up for the suspension upgrade...but if I lived in flat florida ? etc? and had no intent on track days? and was not just in love with the SP color? I think I would spend the extra cash on gas and tires
