Amazing & congratulations mate! Quick question: I am almost made my mind to purchase Ti L given 3 to 4 months of wait time. By then LC 300 will launch! I dont like toyota its ok if you ignore this! Haha Will it give me buyers remorse? 😅 Second, what if Nissan answers LC300 with its Warrior or Nismo? My conclusion: Ti L onroad nearly 100K ish for me Anything like warrior and nismo wont be as cheap... NISMO will be nearly sahara prices! And for LC300s none of it is V8.... for the price diff in future I can go for an e.g. Haroop supercharger and still be cheaper! What is your conclusion? Should I go for it or not? Appreciate if you reply!

Well done David, I am sure you made the positive decision to trust yourself in business and I hope everything goes well for you. The new Y62 is starting to look and perform great already and you've just begun to make the mods. This is going to be an great learning experience for us all to watch how you do it.

OMG, you made me cry. We picked up our Series 5 last Wednesday and waited for basically 6 months and not knowing, was she coming or not. I made my husband sell our 79 series cruiser just so I could get back into a patrol. I am totally in love. First week home, 3rd row of seats gone, platform build in back, towbar and brakes done. Big day tomorrow - exhaust, better sound like a v8. I really appreciate your honesty.

Thank you mr Dash. We are waiting on a 2022 til Hermosa blue and I have been watching the build videos. Carnt wait to pick it up in a couple of months. My partner doesn’t understand why things need to be fiddled with on a new car. But they never are how they should be from factory for the bush driving. The found the sandgrabbers to be slippery with wet shoes. I put my old rubber mats on top. They are terrific for sand.

Awesome colour too

Also just discovered if you push the unlock button to wind the windows down if you push it once the rear windows drop to about the 3/4 mark push it again it goes a bit further down. Push it a third time and rear windows drop down completely.

Nissan should really look after you guys as I have ordered one based on your great experience and reviews. Thanks guys. Only downside. 7 month wait.

I wonder what the dealer will say if there is an electrical issue with the vehicle and all these mods have been done. Personally happy with the decision to keep mine as simple as possible. Boring old factory battery is now 3 years old and showing no signs of stress whatsoever. Anyway your vehicle and your coin so good luck with it all.

I totally understand your emotions on the new car in this video dash .you work hard to meet goals in life and to achieve a purchase such as new car /4x4 is a major accomplishment for some .good on ya mate and awsome videos.

Congratulations, I’ve only ever had the pleasure of driving series 1 til once and loved it. Was a big step from the gu. I will get one soon I hope. Love the mods you’ve done.

Please don't put lithium under the bonnet. On hot days, especially when driving on sand, it gets very hot in there. Dangerously hot.

A mate had a engine replaced in their kia for the first I think 200km it had a run in tune after that back to normal might be the same thing on the y62

Mate been following your videos since the beginning of the lock down around 2019 and enjoyed every one of them. Finally planning to order one. Best deal I have so for is 103,000 drive away for Ti-L blue with tow kit. Is this a good deal ? Or the dealership can do better than this ? Looking for your thoughts.

Congrats to your brand new Y62. I hope it´s not a bit too early because of the new Armada with it´s new interior. :) It´s crazy that some people here in europe pay for that lock/unlock honk. :D

Given there's a separate air-conditioner in the back could you connect it to a different battery and run it overnight if sleeping in the back.. essentially creating a separate 12v aircon in the rear?

David, thanks for the windows down with key fob and pulling the shunt tips, windows down worked until I disconnected the shunt (pulling the negative terminal off in the process). I had to reset a few settings due to loss of power and now the windows no longer go down with the key fob. Is there a setting somewhere? Installing one of your bull bars on Tuesday.

Problem fixed. You need to wind each window down and hold the switch for a further 3 seconds, then up and hold for 3 seconds and it fixed the problem and the windows wind up and down with the key fob again.

So is this the new 2021 model or 2020? And what drivetrain options features did they remove from the American market? I read on Reddit they used a weaker powertrain.

Thinking about getting a 2021 USDM Y62 to replace my 2007 Titan. Want to use it for off-roading and boondocking, gotta ask, do the 2 sets of rear seats fold flat? We want to sleep in the back of it.

Does these modification avoid your warranty?

Why would you buy a brand new car and dump that ugly mat on top of the dashboard? That only looks cool if you’re a 90-year old dude :P

i never understand why people will go out and get a huge loan for a car they cant afford. I would like to get new land cruiser but i cant see myself getting a big loan. Then adding another 20k in just mods. Also how long does the battery last. I was interested in cranking lithium battery but for $1600.

I don’t t think Dave said couldn’t afford it , it’s just that he’s gone into the Bar venture as well and Covid had an effect to start with. Sorry but the 20k in mods on the patrol still wouldn’t be the cost of Standard land cruiser .
