I can thoroughly relate to that sentiment echoed by another fan to Mr. Carter. Experiencing certain emotions and closeness vicariously through Mulder and Scully was the closest I allowed myself to experience them, not believing I had any ability or right to them in my own life when I perhaps could have. I've never had any real friends and I tried to use "The X-Files" to make them in high school, but, when I look back, it was my only real friend during that period and the only one that's lasted.
Did CC ever know how he was such a forecaster of what's coming. I loved Millenium.
Thank You Chris Carter for making my one of my favorite series. I love paranormal stuff
