The truest measure of talent in a performer is their ability to make you FEEL the emotion of a song. That said, even the greatest singers like Aretha Franklin have never hit me emotionally as hard as this performance. When you hear an artist say they "leave everything on stage" in a performance, for me, this was definition of that kind of performance.

she was a plant. she was signed before the show. can't compete in finals if you're with a label. mason noise was the same, but he was dropped by his label and able to come back

I still can't believe that Jennifer didn't make it to the live shows. She was clearly the best singer of the Overs group, collecting two lengthy standing ovations (including the judges) after her first audition and after the six chair challenge. I sure hope she decides to try again on X Factor and if not that show, perhaps The Voice, since her voice should be heard by all.

Jennifer is my favourite. Amazing, strong soulful passionate voice. Love her voice and personality. Can't stop listening. Replaying when she moved her legs to describe that lyrics part ....so talented

I love her so much! So much passion in her singing. Just..idk incredible.

Just stumbled across Jennifer on KZread and was simply blown away. Kinda feel like an idiot because I actually clapped to the TV at the end of her performance.........NEVER done that before in my 59 years on the planet.

I know I'm late on this post but this woman Jennifer Phillips is a shining, outstanding, brilliant talent that moves and inspires me! She can sing it all! I keep coming back to watch her sing in these limited videos and I want to see and hear more of her! I know Simon cut her from the show and that was a big mistake because talent like hers is so unique! I hope it wasn't her age because Susan Boyle was about her age and she gained worldwide success!! I do hope Jennifer makes music as I am a big fan of hers and look all over the Internet for her music! I saw her sing at a funeral and she was spectacular! I wish she would come to America because we can appreciate good Black artists like her and she would be snatched up and signed or could go indie! Just keep singing Jennifer! We love you! Your time is in the now and keep giving us your gift! You have touched my heart so much!! God Bless you!!

Honestly...one of my all time favourite contestants. I'm kinda glad that she didn't make it onto the show, because this type of platform would have done nothing for Jennifer. She is too good for it.

Jack O Donovan Totally agree. I was really looking forward to seeing more performances from Jennifer and Ebru and now I'm losing interest fast. Perhaps they need to engage public vote sooner rather than leave it up to Simon who clearly has very messed up tastes. The format of the show with all its padding and artificial "live" decision making is at times painful to watch.

AMAZING. Fav from the Over's. What a voice Jennifer!!!!!!

She's every bit as talented as Aretha. I hope someone picks her songs for her. The audition seemed to indicate she isn't as good at picking the best song as someone picking for her. She needs the grittiest songs there are that aren't an over played ballad. I hope she's going to sing Chain of Fools. What a powerhouse. Her range, tone & grit set her apart from most everyone else. She's my fav.

Like Simon said, Jennifer really defines "joy". At a stage when the six contestants on the chairs would be fidgeting nervously and sweating bricks, they are all smiling and enjoying the performance, and the gravity doesn't hit them until the song is over. At 2:45 Tonatha and Anton both even go wild at Jennifer's singing! I really hope she goes all the way!! :)

It's 2022 and It still boggles my mind, how in the world, this phenomenal, one of kind singer, that is Jennifer Phillips, did not win the whole thing. I couldn't believe it then and still, to this very day, I can't believe it. WTF were these people thinking over there. Wow!
