Taxpayers will pay for the criminals medical bills, meanwhile, the person whose car was stolen has to find another vehicle. Will that was stupid on their part because I had an old Olds Ninety Eight and I gunned the gas and chased them. The driver left the door open on the truck and I drove into it smashing it against the fender I guess they thought I was just a dumb kid but I grew up in Hammond, Indiana just South of Chicago and had it rough I never called the police on them neither did they it was mutual combat. Taxpayers will pay for the criminals medical bills, meanwhile, the person whose car was stolen has to find another vehicle. The tax payers will be on the hook for all those criminals. I too feel sorry for the car owner. Like all insurance companies they will low ball you on the value of your car. Sad part is after all this these POS will be back on the streets before it gets dark. The judge will probably give them community service time.
Now if the courts would make the charges stick and criminals suffer major consequences, these car jacking stats would plummet. But as the courts are today, criminals are given a slap on the wrists and sent back out onto the streets before the lesson of incarceration even begins.

The driver left the door open on the truck and I drove into it smashing it against the fender I guess they thought I was just a dumb kid but I grew up in Hammond, Indiana just South of Chicago and had it rough I never called the police on them neither did they it was mutual combat.
