As a person who lives here I face palm at every tiktoker from LA who takes videos while standing on top of train tracks

It's now getting a lot of rainfall more than you can imagine including near the cliffs. So this is 2 years now. We have more rain. That can't say we're having a drought in california because it's overflying with floods for sure

My Grandparents bought their place at Palm Beach Park in 1966, and their home was right on Coast Hwy, right across from the beach. I grew up there as a kid, and at their private beach across the street, up until when my Grandpa finally passed in 2008. I even attended San Clemente Preschool and Las Palmas. I LOVE San Clemente and the weather especially. Someday, I would love to move back, and this is coming from someone who has lived in West Oahu for 20 years. I remember the Market Basket where the DMV is now, and the Picadilli Deli on El Camino! Such great memories as a kid delivering the Sun Post, and then going to the Boys and Girls Club to play basketball. Someday, I will move back. Thanks for the video and the memories.

I grew up in San Clemente in the 60's and 70's. Great time. Would not live there now if you paid me. I love the PNW and small town, affordable living.

I would have loved to see SC in the 60s and 70s. The city hall building has pics from the 70s and I always sit and stare wondering how cool it was when there was so little built. Now saying you could be paid to live her is extreme don’t you think? It’s still paradise relative to how the whole world has changed from the 60s. The PNW is beautiful, we visit our friends in washougal often. But it’s a long cloudy wet cold fall winter and spring waiting for 3 beautiful months of summer. This morning my family and I had breakfast at T street. Perfectly clear. No wind. No rain. Catalina island in sight. Sun out. Little chillier than normal at 63 deg. I’m not complaining. San Clemente is paradise

@@LivinginSanClemente It is much more populated. Not affordable for so many. Not diverse. Snobby attitudes. I'll my small town. We are in North Central Idaho on the ClearwaterRiver. Just a nice place.

@@conniejohnson1552 the world is more populated and expensive now. There are certainly more affordable places. Definitely not snobby in San Clemente. That’s not an accurate depiction of the community. Now if you said Newport was snobby I would agree. But not SC

I grew up there in the 70's and 80's, worked at the Alpha Beta (now Ralph's) on El Camino, SCHS '79. It was such a small town then. Nothing in the hills except cows. Pico ended at TRW. Del Mar closed down at 6 PM and there was nothing to do. My parents bought their house near the Riviera in 1973 for $57K, sold it in 2000 for $600K, and now it's $1.3M!

I used to bomb Victoria Ave on my skateboard. I think there was a store called Fred’s Market we used to play video games at too.

I’ve had trouble balancing San Clemente over Carlsbad, could you do a video about the differences between the cities? They’re often compared as very similar in respect to their two counties

Way too expensive, beaches are crowded, homeless druggies leaving needles in the sand. Was once a great town. Lib city council and mayor now.
