Craig sounds evil, but Ross Dolan on the first five Immolation albums smokes everyone in terms of evil. Only dude who's come that close is Jorgen Sandstrom on the first three Grave LP's, but regardless, Craig is a beast.

Favorite band logos in no particular order: Impaled Nazarene, Incantation, Obituary (the metallic logo used on Slowly We Rot), Morbid Angel, Infester, Massacra, Terrorizer, Beherit, Sinister, Asphyx, Demigod, Demilich and Voivod (Rrröööaaarrr logo). This is off the top of my head; however, there are many more cool ones.

Not nearly as schooled in death metal as you are more of a hc punk dude but I love my bread and butter death metal(death, morbid angel, autopsy canncorpse). it’s funny u mention Incantation being the apex of the underground death metal scene cause that might be as far as I got into good underground death metal. I really enjoy suffocation human waste ep but I feel like that’s a bit more popular than I think it is. Excited to find and hear more good shit

Brett was great with Malevolent Creation but honestly the Silent Death 'Stone Cold' 1995 ep release is one of my favorite releases he did...it actually smokes MC's 'Stillborn' (which I thought was mostly filler songs). Silent Death was a Swiss-version of Malevolent Creation (but did it well -ha). Weird death metal history that never gets mentioned.

To answer mike violates question, id have to answer with Impetigo logo os peobably the best and their artwork always rules even the alternates. Id also have to say Nunslaughter and Autopsy as well! They always have sick artwork and their logo changes iver the years have all been sick. (Except for the severed survival alternate cover)

I think the original DEATH logo looks cool. That had the spider web, blood dripping etc. DEICIDE logo is also cool, along with Dark Funeral and others

I think either Bob or Ross of Immolation talked about the logo change for those albums in an interview. They said they used the regular font logo because they didn’t like the way old logo looked with the album art.

Yeah I definitely noticed as well that Barnes' vocals were different on every Cannibal album. It's pretty much an identifier to me which album he's singing on and it really fits the tone for each album.

I like King Fowleys vocals a lot, Brian Sekula from Terror, Matt Harvey and Ross Sewage, Adam and Tom from Cardiac Arrest rule, Don from nunslaughter has a very distinct vocal style as does Paul from Embalmer. Corporate Death is also a great vocalist. Matti Karki has his own style too. I really like Sharon from Derketa, Ash Thomas, Barnes and Corpsegrinder, Ross from Immolation, Jon from Incantation, Chris Reifert...Those are the ones that come to mind.

I think The Bleeding is one of Chris’ greatest works of all time for his vocals. I do prefer Butchered and Tomb for myself personally but The Bleeding was his crowning achievement. Still kept it low and brutal but were surprisingly easily to understand now

There’s an interview with Ross and Rob where they stated they didn’t use the OG logo on the covers cause it looks goofy with the artworks. Don’t know how much that’s actually true but there ya go

I'd have to say Lorna Shore or Suicide Silence, mainly because I CAN'T STAND deathcore. I also don't get the hype about Sanguisugabogg (I literally had to look up the spelling). They're not the worst but still....Ruben Rosas of Devourment and the dude from Mortal Decay started a trend in DM vocals that is still being ripped off today!

Worst Popular Band in the underground would easily be for me Mayhem and/or Emperor. I like Mayhem’s “De Mysterious Dom Sathanas” and everything they did before but everything after is either meh or complete DOGSHIT. They are the Sex Pistols of Black Metal as they only have one good studio album and are completely overrated and overhyped due to the controversy surrounding them. As for Emperor I like their debut album and everything before that but the stuff after is mediocre and pretentious as fuck. Also overrated for the same reasons as Mayhem. Blasphemy and Archgoat are 1000 times more Black Metal then Gayhem and Fagperor, never put out any garbage, stayed true to their origins and Black Metal, much darker and heavier, and easily send Gayhem and Fagperor to their respective graves in the Ross Bay Cemetery.

Bands in town is an app I have on my phone that tells me when different bands are coming to town.

hard agree on barnes on CC albums, his vocals are totally different on every CC album, and he never gets credit for it. also agree that every album his vocals are far above average for every style he does. not sure i'd say greatest of all time though, a fair few random ass grind and death bands have a range of vocals they do differently alternating between high and low stuff, however, i wouldn't argue with anyone saying barnes is the best, he's a good choice. then again i can't think of a vocalist i think is the best, just random bands that are above average. maybe if i was forced to name someone, lord worm, just for how deranged he sounds.

Immolation said that it was due to the album art. If the OG logo didn't fit with the art, they used the new one. When the OG logo works, they use that.

I'd say early Frank Mullen has been extremely influential alongside Butchered and Tomb Era Chris Barnes. I do find Ross Dolan has very distinguishable vocals.

Dolan is great. Admitting my bias I always like Matti Karki of Dismember, and Quorthon of Bathory even though he's black metal not death metal. I also dig the putridity of John Tardy, and Deviant Von Blakk of Osculum Infame and Bekhira.

I remember going to some party setting up my drum kit and this guy asked me if I liked Otep haha I still haven’t heard them. I am assuming they sound like the opposite of dead infection

@@kmartgoth8313 I like plenty of NS bands. Der Sturmer can be semi-fun. I used to listen to them, but I stopped when I realized they were not very good. They can be a bit of a guilty pleasure

@@NightsInEden999 Many of their fans are NS. But even a lot of NS guys dislike them. I wouldn't go as far to say they suck but they are a mediocre band. Kind of like the Six Feet Under of black metal. Vocalist even sounds like Barnes with a Greek accent.
