On paper, with some work and a different approach this could be quite nice. With how it's being handled, with no restrictions, vague guidelines and seemingly biased reactions with bans, it doesn't look good... There's a lot of room for this to be mishandled and abused both by twitch staff and streamers, and I'm willing to bet that it will undoubtedly be mishandled. I haven't actually used twitch really since 2020 but it really sounds bad...

for once.? they have been one of the companies that actually listens to the community ever since the owner switched.. in march. Also, youre a minecraft youtuber. Why are you talking about twitch allowing nudity? crazy

I agree Specular, this generation as a whole already had these problems and twitch is doing nothing to help it, but instead is encouraging it. Hopefully, they will proceed with much better decisions from now on, and that the platforms that are doing much better about this continue to do so.

I didn't watch twitch much for the past year or so and I've heard about something like that happening at that time but didn't really looked into it, this is insane

They recently backed down from the "artistic nudity" policy. From now on, there will not be nude art or things that streamers like "m0rg...." do (I will not give out their full name here but if you are familiar with the situation you know them). However, the "dancing" policy still stands and it includes things like stripteasing and stuff. In my opinion, Twitch has to block access to the streams that have any kind of 18+ content by default. After this, the website should ask you to verify your age by some kind of ID card or something similar. Yesterday, I made a short thread as well about the situation on twitter. I recommend you checking it out.

Turn off item transforms for that blockhit animation

the thing is nudity isnt "pawn". If someone is old enough to be on twitch it ain't that deep if they see " artistic nudity".

I compleatly agree with your points on this, My little brother uses twitch whos 12 he should not be having to log on to twitch because he wants to see hes favourite fortnite streamer just to see prn that he does not even know what it is.

I think twitch management needs to join my college class where I am learning about laws of IT becuase they clearly don't know that

While I agree I do want to mention how being 18+ doesn't really mean anything, in my mind you shouldn't be considered an adult until 23-26 since that's around when you're brain is fully developed. But overall great points :)

School teaches sex education around 9th grade

our society has gone down the drain… I think that talking about stuff like this is important (even if they reverted the update), because a lot of people aren’t even aware. The danger of corn 🌽 is greater than most people are aware of.

While you have some valid points I don't entirely agree, however 1 thing I do agree with, and it's a much bigger issue than just twitch is the problem of softcore porn, on youtube on twitch everywhere, stuff like minecraft monster school and such and the amount it gets recommended, now sure you could say just don't press on it but when it's getting in the recommended regardless even if people don't watch it then it's bringing it to an audience that wouldn't of originally searched up this stuff, and kids being kids they'd be like hehe what's this or whatever and click it, reminds me of the minecraft monster school drama all over again.

twitch really fell off imo, and with most people switching to youtube streaming iv had twitch uninstalled for like half a year atp cuz i knew things werent gonna get any better on that platform lol. i cant believe they thought allowing nud1ty on a 13+ platform was a good idea. what were they thinking lol
