It wasn’t from my parents but when I was 2-3 years old my sister would get annoyed by me and lock me in a closet with no lights and surround me with her creepy looking dolls for like 5 minutes.

I had a brother who did that to me with his fake tarantula so when I turned 15 I had my own pet tarantula that was alive because I wasn’t scared anymore when you had to endure so much of tight confined places at 3 and have a fake realistic looking tarantula with me so I took my cobalt blue tarantula old world species and put it in his bed let’s just say he shit himself and had to treat an infected bite wound from the tarantula revenge can be oh so sweet 🥹 rip Jerry you were a real one (he was the tarantula)

They would make me stay in my room for weeks no tv just books. The only time I could leave would be for dinner and school. They would never tell me how long, it could be 3 days or 3 months I never knew. At least a 2/3 of my childhood I was stuck in my room, while my friends were out playing. It really affected my social skills. If I had the option I would rather get belted 30 times rather than being stuck in my room for a week. As I got older my mom would try to hug me and I would duck/flinch because I was so used to her swatting me.

@GreenFortnite30 The worst part was not knowing how long I'd be stuck in my room. I would ask if I could come out and they would tell me to wait till Saturday. When Saturday rolled around my hopes would be high because I thought I'd be able to go outside and play but when I'd ask to leave it was always no. As I got older I stopped asking and just accepted it. When I was around 11, I started to run away after school because I was afraid of coming home just to be trapped. Eventually I would come back home get belted and go to sleep just to repeat it the next day. At the beginning they would ground me for small stuff like talking to much in class. As I got older I knew that i would be grounded for >month no matter what I did, so I stopped caring about school. No point in being "good" If I was going to be grounded indefinitely. As an adult , I wish I would have done well in school, but it's too late now. When I was 5, I was diagnosed with ADHD. When I was 13 I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and severe anxiety. My mom still ask me to this day why I'm so anxious about everything, why I don't like to go out and make friends. She always invites me out to eat with her, but I decline and she calls me selfish for declining. She recently adopted her brothers kids as he went to prison. Both of them under 5yo. I feel bad for them, really. My mom and dad recently divorced and my mom hasn't be employed in 10+ years and is having trouble finding a job. I can tell her mental is rapidly declining.

@AdamMcGyt when your stuck inside your room for 8 months without anything but a book and a blanket. Sure it's nothing liking being water boarded everyday. Whipping someone is considered torture and I had to endure it on a daily basis. I was left with lacerations and bruises on my back. I'm almost 20 and I have scars from the lacerations. My mom tried her hardest to hide it from others. She would make me wear long shirts to school everyday. Id still would rather get twice the beatings then be stuck in my room for months. At least I would be able to socialize.

my now 81 year old, southern baptist great grandma (i’m 20 now) raised me for the most part, so my punishments were getting spankings with a fly swatter and a switch. she’d pop my mouth with the back of her hand if i back talked, i had to write 500 sentences one time that said “i will not disrespect grandma again”, and in middle school, the night before our first day back from christmas break, she took my first ever smartphone that she just bought for me and kept it for over 2 years all because i turned my ringer on to hear my alarm in the morning and she thought i was playing a game on it. crazy times. now i repent authority figures

One of my earliest memories was accidentally spilling my mom's coffee on the rug, I didn't even tell her I just took my water bottle and sat in the closet with the door closed because I didn't want her to yell at me and then put me in time out 😂
Personally, I can think up a motherfuckin’ storm, so I would be glad to get a timeout. I’d be facing the corner, sitting there like The Thinker, doing all kinds of shit in my head, unfazed. Shit, I would thank my parents for putting me in the corner. “William, go sit in the corner.” “Shiiiiiii, hell yeah. I’ll take it.”

Tommy, NFG and Joe Bartolozzi are my two favorite reaction kind of KZreadrs
as a kid at age 9 i had to take my door off the wall from its hinges. for context, they had a conversation with me about something and i got mad and ran to my room and slammed the door. they walked in and said “If you wanna slam doors, we won’t give you a door to slam. take it off.” after a while of me being confused and thinking they were joking i realized they were serious, and i ended up unscrewing the first hinge with a knife because when i asked where the screwdrivers or drills were they told me to “just figure it out.” they saw me unscrewing them with a knife so they gave me a screwdriver so that i wouldn’t fuck up their knives. i unscrewed it and then, my dumbass let the door fall after and it slammed on the ground. they thought i did it on purpose so i got yelled at and spanked. i wasn’t grounded and i didnt get my movies or anything taken away but i had my door gone for several months. apparently i didn’t realize that they put the door back on until a few days after they put it back on but i don’t remember that part that well
I think physically harming a child as punishment does more harm than good, being hurt by your parents can literally be traumatizing.

@@kaizen2840 a man hitting his wife is domestic abuse. If your boss hit you that would be workplace violence. Hitting a dog would be animal abuse. So hitting kids is abuse. Whenever someone makes a quick movement around me I duck and flinch, and I get frightened and anxious when someone raises their voice, even if they're not mad. Im traumatized by that. My cousin got disciplined so much he can't have a conversation with an adult without saying "yes ma'am" or "yes sir" as his only response
The reason i find the standing and staring at the wall thing to be abusive is because of my experience with it. I was told do the same except i had books on my arms and anytime my legs would buckle or kneel my parents would hit my calves as hard as they could with whatever was around. I was like 5. Man I either stood in a corner, got grounded, or at the most extreme spanked with the belt.
ngl joe is pretty relatable with the whole baby grab stuff thing, atleast for me
the outro slaps every time
Joe I was eating and watching you then outta no where you acknowledge the person in stream talking bout the corpse stuff….horrible timing my guy 😂
As a asian, there are three punishments 1.sandal 2.belt 3.the *HAND* / the *SLAP*
my father would make me slush around mustard in my mouth for 10 minutes.
Joe always makes it come out of my nose
The corner is so real but we had to keep our hands on our heads and be in our knees lol
Happy Easter everyone :)
out of all the beatings uve recieved i agree w joe that timeout is the most effective.
Nah that spatula beatings hurt like hell
15:22 My mum used to get caned for writing with her left hand. They even once made her wear a 'Dunce' hat infront of the class for using her left hand.
joe you make my day so much better every reaction… ignore the haters and keep up the good work!

Happy Easter gentleman❤️✝️🙏
i feel like joe would be the super kind parent, and just like give you a talking to
i always watch your vids when i eat then i go lay in my bed if its after supper or school and fall asleep
My parents would use the belt / the switch / the corner / whipped / they would make me write up to like 300 sentences. me and my siblings also got paddlings at our school when we got in trouble. we were also grounded for weeks from going outside if we did something wrong. and also got our electronics taken. and we had to do extra chores or we had to do one of our siblings chores. they also use to back hand us, i still flinch when someone swings there hand around me.
Worst punishment I ever had I had to hold laptops and dictionaries above my head for 3 hours and a sit in a chair
My worst childhood punishment was being locked in the bathroom with my brother and be given belts to whip each other and the one who was the least damaged got to go out while the other had to stay in there for an hour
I mean to be honest standing in the corner always made me feel stupid cuz I’m just standing in a corner for 30 minutes and it’s like Patrick star😂
With the corner punishment I literally was hungry and I had to wait 8 minutes and it felt like 20 minutes and one time I decided to fall asleep standing up
Joe fartolozzi ❌ Joe bartolozzi. ❌ Joe martolozzi. ❌ Joe mozzarella Stick ✅
I mean shit the crocks and flip flops set me straight 😭
When my parents took all of my screens away i would break my legos and rebuild them
My punishments were being sent to my room, no electronics, or I’d get my mom’s wooden spoon.
My mom be changing the rules though😂😂😂
This guy is so relatable
That pool bathroom shower soap hit terribly different.
I love the 1000 yard stare meme at 10:02😂
bro the weellchair in the intro was to funny
Whipping him like it was before the Abraham Approximation😭😭😭
My mom does the one eyebrow raise
Fun fact humans hate boredom so much that they will often inflict pain upon themselves/choose pain to ease that boredom 10:10
For those who mom said they would have a punishment but they never did
