Brothers know how to put in work. And you don’t have to say anything because your work speaks for themselves. Amen
I have used King brand premixed mortar a lot of times. I haven't had any adhesion issues with it. Ever.
House is looking great! Mr. Green fills both ends of his head joints. Why does Mr. Ryan only fill the front and not the back?
Di 1kb team a di bess lead by di massa Ryan! Eva deh tap class work! Ryan showing yu wah ah job cyaah bi dun right! suh lets git more people inna trades an mek dat tap dolla!
Yes it seems like the mortar horrible! At the end of the day it only proves to your KZread fans you can handle issues as they come at you! Great job!

Thank you very much!
Yeah that mortar looks gritty and half dead and I remember guys way back ( because I’m an old geezer now) who used to “ spike “ pre mix bag mix mortar with whatever they thought it needed to make it more like Live Mortar I screen my mason sand after its fully dry and warm and mason sand where I live is a completely different color from one brick yard to the other and I got White mason sand the last time I got the bagged sand because I didn’t have enough dark sand but didn’t dare to use it since the color would no doubt be different but drying and screening sand and color and quality testing different mason sand is labor and time intensive and probably not practical for big jobs like this guy does! I haven’t used a bag mix in a long time now that was nearly as good quality as the plain brown paper bags that used to have a Number on the bag and nothing else stating exactly what that specific mix is for and not just brick block pointing etc like it’s a one thing can do it all when it sometimes cannot but I am probably Really showing my age and fussiness nowadays being too critical for my own good sometimes but I am a dinosaur now and come from a time when screening sand and old geezers like me with recipe books was an everyday thing depending upon the job! But that mortar looks like half dead sorta gritty stuff for laying brick
Mr. Green 💪🏾💪🏾
Outstanding job man

We all miss Sanjay. 😢
Amazing job my friend, Bryan can you share what is the mortar ratio you use when you mix your own mortar, how much Portland cement, sand and if you add lime to the mix, thanks brother.

It’s pre mix, meaning the ratios are already pre blended by the company, you just add water
One question to all bricklayers. What order do you guys do joints. Do you do head joint then bed joint. Brush then bed joint then head joint. Or end it with head joint bed joint last ?
Premix is good I just usually like my mortar a little loose by the time is stars to tighten up Im ready to joint or Almost finished laying
Job was good but the colors on the building look bad, the colors shades are not cohesive.

He’s painting it in white to match the stone so you don’t mind , but I agree with
Put a few drops of dawn dishsoap in the mixer when you put your water in. See how the premix goes from shit mud to primo> Pro tip

Really what does it do. I’ve never heard of that. I think most premixed is shit.

@@joeyf150blacksunshine7 It makes the mix more creamy and sticky. I use this trick on hot days as it retards the mortar setup just slightly. The building inspectors dont like it so don't get caught. They say it weakens the mortar. Idn in my 30 years Ive never had a building collapse.
