If they don't want to hire you they say, "thanks for coming, we'll call you soon," is often a polite and easy way to get the person out of the building. I bet that person never got called back.

i wonder how far it is from an actual very bad interview. i've interviewed very bad candidates before, but nothing quite as bad... anybody in here has had an experience that was almost as bad as this?

And I can finally say this. It took me 6 years, but I FINALLY found this video.

"Ok.. fine. There's room for negotiation there." The interviewer's face after that LOL!!!!!! Gets me every time. The interviewer was obviously too nice to stretch this interview to 17 minutes.

I don't know why he didn't kick him out before 17 minutes. He arrived late without notice, which will cause most jobs to not to the interview. There will be plenty of other candidates who can dress smart and formal and arrive on time.

I'm wondering why he even invited him for the interview in the first place given that his resume was extremely out of date, and the fact that his previous *nine* jobs all lasted a couple months or so lol

this is one of the funniest things i have ever seen! i was studying for interview questions because i had an interview coming up and i stumbled across this. couldnt stop thinking of it all through my interview!

Do love this it really highlights the no nos for job interviews while doing it in a much more comical way than some similar videos I've seen on youtube, classic u should do a similar style one with this guy about no nos in the actual job

I started laughing when the interviewer walked in and his face was like what the hell did I walk into😂

First thing I noticed is why would the guy interviewing have his office telephone facing the wrong way round to him sitting. Didn't think of that one haha.

I lost it when he flung he tie on the desk and "... shall I put on?".

I'd actually hire this fella just to prank everyone that's working on the same team, and I'll sit back and see how everything turns out

)))) THIS man has one very important feature: he reacts on the situation and is careful. can u find enough people in service like that? he reacts untypically ))) but lively

One day my boss during a pay rise meeting said that he didn't see me in the office at 8am when he arrived. I replied that I didn't see him in his office at 11 pm when I left !

Hi there your web series has been really helpful for me, could i make a suggestion? it might be good for you to do a video similar to this but showing good interview technique perhaps illustrating points you've raised in other videos.

I didn't...we had to re-shoot it several times...esp when we got to the bit about the pen/pencil sales process...I kept giggling! Graham ...and in an earlier version, Angelo's wife actually DID call him in the middle of filming...Angelo kept going but I just fell about!

that's nothing. the last time i had an interview, my phone went off because i got a text. fifteen seconds later, the interviewer's phone went off and ten seconds later, the other interviewer's phone went off. it was hilarious.

Lol totally awesome! Been on a few interviews lately and this takes the edge off. Incidentally, some of the questions Tommy asks are what I wish I could ask. :p

That's not the way to go to a job interview. With it being a formal business meeting, you need to go there dressed in smart and formal clothes.

This was really good, as it points out key problems where some interviews turn sour. I mean some are really obvious, some not so. It would be really surprising if someone got a full house and done everything wrong in this video in an actual video, but then again nothing is impossible when it comes to interviewing. Would be interesting if you did a "The Best Interview Ever" with the same actor, as that could be useful too.

my job was to listen to customers but if they complained i'd put them on hold n another line , i only talked to people who listened then i began my sales pitch, my boss was amazed at how many sales i made on a complaint line.

Totally baffling attitude towards recruitment in the UK. More emphasis seems to be put on passing hypothetical stages of the recruitment process, being nice and superficial, rather than doing the actual job. The recruitment process is more often than not, unusually miles away from the specifics of the actual job. Recruitment agents seldom have a grasp of the actual role. There are plenty of agents who want to sit in the middle and pass the CV on without a shred of a clue in their minds as to actual job. You've got to ask, WTF? There's a culture in the UK of dragging heels and putting stuff off as much as possible. Attitude seems endemic to UK compared to a number of other progressive nations in the world.

That's sadly V true Skylark. Baffles me too, even after 28 years! My team actually visit the client and often spend a few hours watching the job being done & engaging with the incumbent. Makes a real difference.
