to be fair to Macatster they still took their money and many other drama/tea channels made it in. including you. The H3 crew made it in and also broadcasted they were coming and did purchase tickets for the event. Not only that but their security were bullying them and following them to the car. Even Def Noodles made it in and met them, which was legendary calling them scammers lol. So other channels did say they were coming.

The L.A county fair has a ton of live music too from famous acts from the past like war band. Pomona is also less hot.

Actually this is closer in size to the Chilton county fair. Which is a middle-o-nowhere, backwater, Alabama, shithole that you might pass by if you're driving to Florida. The Chilton County fair is free to walk in, and you can either buy a couple tickets for a single ride or a pass for most of the rides, oh and it has free parking. There's also ground water pumps at two parks roughly 150 and 250 meters from the fair so you would technically get access to potable water for free too. I'm not even trying to hype this fair, it's not even that good, but my point remains, the most run of the mill, mundane, local yocal bullshit would blow this outta the water. A high school farmers association could put together something more fun

I mean, they're sketchy social youtubers, so buying those tickets you kind of had to expect to not getting your money's worth, but they actually managed to create something that worked. Ok, the bar they had to pass was being better than Tanacon and the Fyre Festival, but atleast they managed to do that. Probably because not that many people showed up.

Indeed, and the carnival my hometown fire company hosts twice a year is very much the same. Granted, there aren't many issues regarding excessive heat (I live in the Philadelphia suburbs), though I did make the mistake one year of eating a hot dog before going on a ride.

I think they did that, (which is pretty shady and messed up if true) to get some content for their KZread video, because obviously the meet and greet was gonna go past 10pm, so they wouldn’t be able to enjoy the rides or grab some footage of them enjoying the fest outside of the meet and greet. If this really is the case, then it’s messed up bc ppl bought those tickets to then not see them at all? I’d be REALLY pissed. Like it was so poorly planned and communicated with those in line. They should’ve restricted the amount of meet and greet tickets if they wanted to meet the fans and have time to enjoy the fest. Now I’m not a fan, just thought I should put the cap on for the other side for a second

I just don’t get it teens and young adults spending over a $100 to attend the discount dollar tree version of your local state fair and stand in the hot sun for hours just to meet people who just broadcast how “rich” they are online… They aren’t singers or actors, they don’t put art out into the world, they aren’t funny comedians just a bunch of scam artists

I agree with swell, they had an event, that did'nt get closed down or something else. So people did'nt really got scammed in that way. It was more that the prize was way to high for what it was worth. And that they from the beginning sad that a, b, c, d, e, f where gonna happen on the event but in the end it was just a, b, c. They had a pretty succesful event compared to lets say tanacon 😂 Ain't no fan of the acefam, but belive that swell has a pretty good viewpoint on this topic 🙂

My friend, who lives in Lancaster, was able to drive to a side/overflow parking area to park for free and then go to the gate and pay $15 per person to get in. A lot of the people there were local residents who just saw a fair set up and went to it. She obviously didn't have the special ticket (aka a standard admit one that anyone could have purchased online) to get all the "free prizes" but she still rode the rides for free. Also, when she was leaving, there was sign that said "Resident discount with ID" and those tickets were going for, I believe, $30.

There was a local fair going on at the same time. Basically the Ace family rented part of a local fair that was already there for the day. Your friend probably went into the side of the fair that was the local “soul fest” …

I do appreciate the honesty where you basically say “it was fine, no one got hurt, it was just way too expensive and maybe not super well managed” rather than drum up drama where it doesn’t exist. The event was kinda crappy, but not a total disaster, which makes this perhaps the Ace family’s greatest success.

You got scammed so others from now on Won't have to, you absolute mad lad, appreciate it.

Ever since Ace Fest was announced I've been placing bets on how hard it would crash....

I’d think paying hundreds of $ for “Disneyland Meets Coachella” and getting a generic carnival that you find in dozens of Walmart parking lots each summer, having to pay for parking, food, water, etc., having no promised bands, petting zoo, or any other premiums other than being able to stand in a line to get a signature from some C-list celebs who scam you to your face, is a little worse than “not that bad”.

The parking fee might've been an outsider. There's been a few people who'll stick around parking lots of popular destinations and collect 'parking fees'. There was one guy doing it around the zoo here. One day he up and disappeared, the zoo contacted the government thinking it was their guy, but they were like 'we thought he was YOUR guy.' Guy scammed nearly 1mil just by sitting in a parking lot for a few years.

Technically I think they can get sued for not having access to water or a way to cool off because someone could overheat. I think this because Carowinds gives out free water when it's really hot and isles of adventure sprays people with water vapor in certain parts.

If that was a 15-20 dollar event with a 30-50 meet and greet upcharges then maybe locals would go for fun but 120-500 bucks for what was offered, that's the scam.

For stating it will be "Coachella meets Disneyland" it's honestly just the same as Lancaster's yearly fair, rides and all. The only difference is that during the fair, the stadium is used so that you can see demolition derby trucks and other events. There wasn't really any promotion so that the residents would know that there was an event. Which is surprising since the fair is actually popular there.

L.A. County Fair at Pomona fairgrounds is WAY nicer... honestly, with all the venues it sucks it had to be Lancaster...but I get it McBrooms want to save money and go for the cheapest venues. But a lot of the conventions even at Santa Monica Airport is way better. One year I did the Hello Kitty Con out in Santa Monica and another year it was DTLA (kinda sketchy to walk through skid row wearing my Hello Kitty gear). But this is nothing like Cochella - besides the heat... and Disneyland is meaning they'll rip you off on food and beverages but had none of the "magic".... Honestly, I'm surprised the McBrooms even had as much as they did even if it was like a clearance sale of carnivals.... I was thinking they were only going to do a few bouncy houses and have some people dressed up in costumes like there be a Spiderman

And they booked a place that would make every fan spend so much money to get too. So many spent a fortune on gas, plane tickets and hotels. They should have lowered the prices or make it worth it with at least having more then a DJ perform lol. They only gave signed posters to 1 person in the VIP group according to the fans that paid. So many paying for the premium costs didnt get a poster. with a family of 5 that seems so unfair. lol If they were just honest about the expectations it would not have been super bad. it was a fair and a meet and greet. stupid to set expectations as Coachella meats Disney for a fair with those sad prizes.

I’d pay upwards of 200, 100 is a fucking steal. Look at it like this. You’re seeing your favorite celebrity/ someone you look up to. So sure, from your perspective it’s a bad deal. But from a big fan, it’s a great deal with rides and games included.

@@JanAly I mean I get meeting your favorite celebrities but they could have done better for them. I mean they should have made normal tickets way lower who didn’t see them. They just were not honest from the start. If people found it worth it then that is great but I thought they could have got performers that have talent, contortionists, jugglers, fire breathers, people that can sing or dance doesn’t even have to be A list singers. Given everyone a signed poster that payed for it. Idk wish they gave people what they payed for in the first place.

@@stoneheart_raven Overall, whether people did the meet and greet or not, it's still severely overpriced when the majority of the rides and stuff were just classic fair rides that people use in residential areas. They should have had higher quality entertainment, if not, they should've had a lower price. They just scammed everyone with the trailer looking a lot better than it actually did (that trailer footage was also stolen), and they just have no remorse for how they treat people that support their channel, which I'll never understand how people can stand watching their content.

I don’t even know who the Ace family is and I still found this video entertaining. It’s something we can all relate to but your positive attitude and deadpan commentary were hilarious. Love the idea of exposing the over-hyped.

The fact that H3 is making videos defending this festival is ridiculous. They keep going on about other drama channels falsified their videos to make the festival seem worse than it was. They were completely bought out by the Ace Family. Their own fans said it was not worth it and they feel like they were scammed

I was there the for entire uncut livestream you can still watch right here-- there's no denying or hiding the scam that took place, starting with the removed music & other perks on festival day, and ending with every other disappointment everyone else found. "TanaCon Meets Chuck-E-Cheese" sounds fair.

I live in Medicine Hat (supposedly one of the worst cities in Alberta, Canada) and our “stampede” weekend fair looks verbatim to this. I spend roughy 25-40$ on a full day admission. Ace family’s at it again with another scam people ate up 😬👍

To be fair, I think they enjoyed because they went as a group but even if someone enjoyed it on their own, that doesn't say much; Dan even said it's not surprising the rides were fun. Maybe they got lucky too because it is possible that people knew them (I mean, AB at the very least) so they didn't have to pay for water and all. It's possible that someone saw Atozy's Livestream too so it got a bit better. What I didn't like was how AB said other channels were just spinning a narrative. I mean, sure, those things happen. But even Amanda (from swell entertainment) that it was boring, overpriced but she it was more a ripoff than a full fledged scam - and I trust her review the most since she was there super early and waited for closing time. She would have seen the most of what happened so I'm inclined to believe it wasn't still a bit scummy. But to paraphrase her words, the event happened, no one was Confirmed to have gotten hurt and it happened on time. not much but still something. Tldr: H3 had fun that's good and okay. They didn't outright say it was good but shouldn't have dismissed other experiences. It was too expensive for a meet and great with rides but with the ACE family's track record, it Just happening on some level is amazing enough

H3 isn’t good content to watch. He says and does whatever will keep him relevant. He is in it to take your money he don’t care about his fans. He gave that up years ago. @@MrMungui88 They stopped selling the tickets for $100+ after a while. My friends got in for $15 per person, after proving they were residents of Lancaster/Palm Dale. They got 7 people in for the same amount of money others got in for a single person. They raised the price a bit after my friends got in to, I think, $30 per person for residents of Lancaster and the surrounding areas, but still far less than what other were charged.

The most basic thing, WATER, wasn’t even free and you can get a case for like $2-3 If they said its a meet and greet at a parking lot fair then I would have agreed with you.
