In the following sentence, singular form is used on the adjectives, although they refer to the 'stories' - which is plural. "Diese Geschichten sind rührend, spannend und lehrreich zugleich." It would be really nice if dear Anja or someone else can HELP 🙏

In this sentence, adjectives are not declined despite of the subject being plural because these adjectives are used after the verb. In german, adjectives can be used in two ways based on their position . 1) When adjective is describing the subject (succeeding a verb) Example: Diese Bücher sind interessant. Here, you are describing the subject "Bücher" and using the verb "sein". The verb "sein" will indicate the nature of books. So, logically the adjective would be after it as you do in english. "These books are interesting". No declination is required here. 2) When adjective is before a noun Example: Es gibt hier keine schöne Blumen. Here, you want to describe "Blumen" (flowers). Without the adjective "schön", the sentence would be "Es gibt hier keine Blumen." Since you want to say that there are no beautiful flowers here and Blumen is not a subject, you will place "schöne" before it and it will be declined. NOTE: You can also make sentences like this - Ich finde diese Stadt fantastisch. (I find this city fantastic.) Don't dwell too much into it. Just remember if a noun is succeeding an adjective, it will be declined. Otherwise, not. Let me know if I was able to explain.

Aussehen is more about appearance, ähnlich sehen about similarity. And yes, also in relation with things.
