Unpowered wings are basically better paragliders for long distance travel and the game gives you 2 you can chain together on one of the highest islands in the game and 4 much lower on GSL which can get you an incredible number of places very quickly. You can land on one mid air to regain your stamina and fly farther than you could on your paraglider anyway, without using battery, and without having to hold the analog stick in a single direction for an annoying amount of time

Okay here's an idea. Throw the boomerang like 6 times so it's on half health. Take it to a rock octorock and have it eat the weapon. Start throwing it again and see if it still breaks in 7 throws or if the durability on the wing has been reset.

My favorite boomerang is Lizalfos tails, as they become enormous, can be elemental, and deal both full weapon damage and elemental damage. It’s sooo cool

The title made me think this boomerang was going to have a hidden downside compared to the unfused one rather than just the smallest upside, for example homing karts often chew through the durability of whatever they’re attached to in addition to consuming battery making them arguably worse than the base version of the weapon or shield

hey bread, I just found this out, but there is a missing poster of Zelda in lookout landing. as you enter through the hyrule field entrance, there is a door that leads to a small room with a torch and the poster. subtle world building is one of my favourite parts of TOTK.

I like how right at the moment when you say “flying them like like in the air” a like-like eats your fan

Agree, totk would be far more interesting with infinite wings and no paraglider. Would also give more motivation for players to upgrade their batteries and get zonai charges. But then what would the amiibos do?

I played through TotK without the Paraglider. The game isn't balanced for it, but it's actually doable. You can't get the map, find Mineru, or get some of the Koroks, but everything else, even the Shrines, are able to be beaten with some minor exploits. It's almost a different game entirely.

i think about how the sled minigame in totk encourages/hints you to attach a sled to ur shield, but it both is slower than just using a good shield and also causes the shield to die faster

CONGRATULATIONS ABOUT THE JOB!!!

Something I've always wondered, but never thought to try out...can you fuse all different foods (raw or not) or bugs to your weapons? If so, what's the strongest ones, & do they have any strange effects? (I'm not counting monster parts or mushrooms in this question, cuz it's well established that they're meant to be fused...also not counting fusion with the shield, cuz I already know about using frozen fish & meat to make shield surfing faster)

Did you know that the huge fires on top of look out landing never go out even when it rains and the traders on horses put hats on when it rains and take out lanterns at night.

Kite Shields also work like Wings if you fuse them. They and the Zonai Wing are different from others in that weapons won't spin when you through them (aside from boomerangs of course). I wonder if using Zonai Wings on other weapons still can get them to despawn- it's obviously a lot easier with a boomerang.

Accidentally, I made an even worse boomerang by attaching one of these exploding barrels. When I threw the, well, BOOMerang, I missed my target and then it came flying back to me, exploding on impact. 😂

I really would like to know the reason why they made decisions for only a few specific devices to despawn after such a short period of time when other things like the fans and control stick combo outperform the wing. You think you'd want people to USE the wing not chuck them away and never use them again lol. Like some islands are legitimately too far away from one another to get to without using the hoverbike because the wing just breaks too darn fast.

Wow that is a terrible boomerang also like how Links outfit is changing color with the seasons it's cool

What happens when you fuse a rocket to a boomerang, will it fly straight or will it ignore the rocket and act like a normal boomerang?

bruh i would love to be the kids in his spanish class. *he walks in on his first day. says the word bread or pirate at some point. * *all the kids recognize the voice "THE BREAD PIRATE!"

This is probably because Zonai wings count down to despawn based on how much time they're generating lift, and since they're increasing the boomerangs range, they are generating some lift (even though the Boomerang is doing most of the work). They probably either kept the despawn here for consistencies sake, or they forgot to remove it.

So wait, is this a boomerang specific thing? I feel like this might apply to all thrown weapons fused with wings. Maybe it could be tested by using recall on the weapons after throwing them, that way you don’t have to go get them yourself and they never take damage from hitting the ground.

I can get the purpose of having the Wing not last very long early in the game for game balance reasons, but I wish there was a way you could earn more durable wings in the same way you can just purchase Big Batteries after your Energy Cell is fully upgraded. Perhaps the King Gleeoks in the sky could be guarding chests with Durable Wings in them, or you can buy them after you completed all the dungeons, or _something,_ because as it is the despawn timer means that it's not worth creating contraptions around...

Can you do a series where you teach us spanish but it all relates to zelda?

At least the infinite minigame wing seems to infinite also on bumerangs.

But the throws can vary in size so not always 13 throws unless thats not how it works. You can throw it into a tree or recall it to reeduce the length teh throw makes the boomerang fly.

Do those other items le tthe boomerang travel as far as the Zonai Wings?

tbf, I feel like there isn't supposed to be a benefit, they likely just wanted to give them the special power that all wings give weapons. They probably don't want people only ever relying on zonai parts for everything and instead want to encourage the player to actually fight monsters

Zonai wings look so cool. I want to build things with them because they are cool, but they last such a short time that no build with them is even viable :(

Wasn’t there a glitch in totk to get the boomerang circling you infinitely? Genuinely curious as to what happens when the wing despawns in the midst of that.
