This thing is a freakin HOUSE. Likes: 1-the TWO patio areas. 2- as always, the multi purpose garage that is the sheer genius of a toy hauler. 3- LOVE the flooring. Dislikes: 1- the risk of water leakage from those patio entrances. 2- the rando bunk. I’d rather have a giant cabinet with a pull out shelf for additional storage. 3- the side roof/death trap ladder

I used to own the 2016 Raptor 422, the first edition of this platform. The cable-driven slides were a holy terror. The cables that pulled the slides IN passed through a narrow hole in a sheetmetal frame. The cable mounting bracket on the outside of the slide was supposed to be carefully aligned so that when the slide was all the way in, the cable was centered in that hole. Of course, it wasn’t. Vibration when towing sawed through the cables. Maintenance people at Camping World over-tightened the new cables. Over time, the cable mounting brackets on the inside of the slide (that pull the slide out) began to pull out of the slide walls. Neither the Keystone warranty nor the extended warranty covered it. $4,000.00 to replace 4 slide walls! If this unit still employs cable operated slides, BUY THE CRIMPER, LEARN HOW TO REPLACE CABLES AND HOW TO PROPERLY TENSION THEM. Don’t expect anyone else to do it right.

The toy hauler area is so smart: they thought of everything w/d, half bath, patio - nice! Great 4 person couch w/ heated seats! But needed a breakfast bar in the kitchen area. Also need screen doors on the patio doors. Loft - nice place for a plant.

I love Keystone Raptor, it is built with plenty of living space for relaxing with an awesome wrap. Dislikes: 1) Not a fan of the ladder design, too wobbly and would have loved to seen a reel for the 50 amp power cord 2) the half bath needs the counter trimmed just a touch for leg room. The cabinet in the garage are way too high for easy access 3)Master bathroom need to move the toilet around, no 4Ps. Woop woop 4) I would prefer side vents versus floor panel Love: 1) Absolutely love having the side patio and rear patio both being under awnings. This gives soooo much space to relax in rain or shine and a patio doors for both patios 2) Kitchen has plenty of counters and storage. Thanks for having the oven and convection microwave 3) the North South Bedroom design with good storage

One thing I have learned about 5th wheels is that once you buy, ALWAYS keep another $10,000 on hand to pay for the modifications I would make such as changing out the side ladder to full-size 316 Grade anti-corrosion Stainless steel with collapsible hand-railings that go right to the roof-top, then I would add a 150 foot Tannay Reel (they make GREAT cable reels) for extended length 50 amp+ service. I would buy a heavy duty aluminum step-ladder for those high cabinets, AND I would add an extra foot to the center island with some extra shelving space. Then I would add the computerized satellite internet/dish TV dome on the top and a portable SILENT-mode winterized propane generator that has dual mode 5000 watts (for your light use days) and the 12,000 watts output mode for your 24 hour heavy duty-use days! This would need the 55 gallon (around 200 litres) propane tanks added to the back bed of the truck so you can boondock in the middle of nowhere for at least two weeks up to six weeks at a time if you use your propane wisely! Then I would spend some money on a ruggedized slide-out BBQ and 24 inch wide food prep-table AND then add the outdoor-ruggedized pop-out and rotating 65 inch 4K resolution 240 hz TV and Xbox on the patio for my outdoor gaming and movie watching! For the cool nights, I would add the extra winter tent-like Thinsulate-insulated zipper-connecting sidewalls and roof to the outdoor patio so you extend the garage out a full size living room-sized environment for the super-hot, rainy and/or snowy days! Also buy a heavy duty rip-stop-nylon covered inflatable couch so you can put it on the now fully-covered patio for you TV viewing and Xbox gaming pleasure! Cats and dogs won't have their claws puncturing the thick heavy rip-stop nylon couch covering! Put in a small portable ceramic space heater to keep yourself nice and warm in the covered patio area! c

Three things I dislike: 1. Tiny little cubby hole for the toilet! WHAT??? 2. TV seems like is it so dang close to the couch. 3. Some of the outside storage doors open up. Three things I like: 1. The bedroom is great! Love the walk around space on all three sides. 2. Love the heavy duty steps into the RV. 3. Love that there is a half bath at the back of the rig.

WOW!! That is a big toy hauler. Likes: 1. The side patio and back deck were both thoughtfully designed. Access, awnings, doors on the back, nice steps. 2. Ready for a stacking washer and dryer and the fresh water tank is large enough to use them. 3. Position of the bed allows access from both sides and bedroom has nice storage. Dislikes: 1. Bathrooms. Both appeared very tight and need to be redesigned.. 2. Kitchen layout is also tight. Also, since the kitchen is so tight I think losing either the microwave/convection oven or the oven and having another cupboard would be beneficial. 3. Lack out outside storage is a problem. The overall height of this toy hauler allows for more storage underneath. Some of the interior storage was so high that most people can't reach it, so giving up a little of the ceiling height inside to have outside storage would be a win.

Would never buy this but it's the best 5th wheeler toy hauler I've seen. I like that both propane tanks are on the same side, I love the interior. Don't like beds in the garage. If you arrive at night and it's raining you've got to unload all the toys just to go to sleep. Don't need side patio, just second door to the half bath.

Huge! And wow, what a lot of room! My 3's: Dislikes: 1. The two patios. I just am not a fan. 2. Small toilet space in both bathrooms. 3. For the size of the camper, it just seems that the areas (living, kitchen) are undersized. The obvious emphasis is on the toy hauling space and patios rather than inside storage and living. Jmho Likes: 1. The bed placement and bedroom as a whole. 2. Interior colors and designs. 3. Awnings.

The 3 things I like about this fifth wheel toy hauler: 1. the patios, two entrances to the side patio, the four season door on the back patio, and awnings for both patios, combo with the garage: prepped for stackable washer/dryer, bench seats to use as a dinette and layout for use as a bed 2. the kitchen, compared to other fifth wheel toy haulers, has a lot of counter space, and a spot to use as a coffee station 3. the bedroom: a lot space around the bed The 3 things I don't like about this fifth wheel toy hauler: 1. toilet placement in the master bath 2. heat ducts in the floor 3. really high cabinets

Matt - regarding the side patio, I took my 2016 Raptor 422 to small and large parks and “resorts”, and not once did I ever park it anywhere that precluded deploying the side deck! There were instances where the steps could not be installed on the deck, but there was always room to deploy it. GIANT WORD OF CAUTION: Check with the deck manufacturer to see if the deck can be left deployed in the rain. OURS (2016) COULD NOT!! We had to constantly watch the weather, and if it was going to rain we had to close both decks or the water would destroy them. This was a HUGE bummer, a giant pain in the butt. I wrote to Lippert numerous times complaining, posted to their Facebook page pleading that they redesign the deck to be waterproof. Eventually I gave up. I don’t know if they’ve since improved this.

As a 5th wheel guy who stays in campgrounds, let me explain the two decks. It's more common to find a space too short for a rear deck, than it is too narrow for a side deck. This gives you a higher option of being able to open one of them, or that awesome time when you can open both. The main bathroom sucks. And I detest that fridge, rather have a large residential with built in ice and an inverter. I have an OR 376FBH, not a toy hauler. It's 2 feet shorter, and weighs 2,500 lbs less, but I have a 4,200 lbs cargo capacity. This just isn't a great design, they couldn't decide if they wanted a park model or an off-roading toyhauler.

Put W/D in there. 3, NO ice maker 4, Heater vents in floor are dirt traps. 5, Put the easy lower steps at the backdoor also. Likes.. 1, W/D Hookups, but put them where half bath is, in the closet. 2, Generator is great, but offer the 1000 watt Super Solar Package. 3, Little coffee bar beside fridge is great to a install a big ice machine under cabinet. ...

Thanks for the review. As a former toyhauler owner, one of my biggest issues with these large units is the ladders you have to store in the garage. Issue for was was hauling 2 dresser motorcycles. Where do you out the stairs? Not room for both. Kind of defeats the purpose of the “toy” hauler versus a “ladder” hauler. They need to figure out a better way to manage the stairs. Nice bed room but the living space was about the same as our 33 footer... yes you do go to campgrounds if carrying road bikes... haul to where you want to ride...

Just gotta point out the 2 drawers on the sink side of the kitchen at the bottom are blocked by the "pots and pans" drawer @18:25. Seems like an easy fix by just changing out the drawer pull on the big drawer under the oven. For over 100k MSRP feels like someone was lazy with that design. 3 Things i like * Patio's with awnings * North / South bed in Master * The Doors leading out to the rear patio (a bunch of older toy haulers either have nothing or a full wall to wall drop down screen) 3 Things i dislike * Side Ladder * Living room and 1/2 bath layout feels way to cramped, person sitting on the couch closest to the fireplace is going to get roasted quick. * Master bathroom, the counter top looks out of place with the rest of the build, would have liked the kitchen led counter top better than that fake rock looking thing. The toilet placement seems cramped.

Here we go now! Keystone, you almost had me sold but the dislikes outweigh the likes. Dislikes: #1 The rear ladder. I think you would be better off having a ladder that attaches to the rear deck so you can climb up when in the patio position. #2 You completely lost me on the master bathroom toilet. You would have been better off putting the toilet where the corner cabinet is having it face the shower. #3 Floor vents. Likes: #1 Side patio. #2 Rear patio. #3 Huge four seat sofa.

While we appreciate you going up on the roofs, we agree that side ladder is off limit to you. Better to be safe. Very nice. Love the patios and side doors. TV is kind of a neck wrecker. Toilet in master bath, nope 👎 All in all very, very nice.

Great. Instead of finding a 1500lb teardrop to tow behind my Subaru, I find this. Thanks a lot Matt! 😉 Now all I need is the money for this, and the truck to tow it, and the toys to fill it. I wonder how many kidneys I'd have to sell …

This was my first video with these guys. WOW, what a hoot !!! They show the unit like most people would tour it on their own; likes and dislikes. I like the two patios with awnings, w/d hook-up, and the N/S master bed.

I love the side patio with two doors. I love garage cargo capacity. I feel they could've laid out the bathroom better, on camera it appears restricted. Nice unit.

I like the side patio, but it seems like if it's windy and you have to retract the awning, the tv will be exposed to the weather.

You would definitely have to get a cover of some kind to protect the tv in that situation. Definitely a concern. Maybe the tv has the ability to be removed in that situation.

No dislikes, but at that price point, I would have thought it would have a residential refrigerator, with ice maker. If we ever get a toy hauler, this is what I want.

Hello, this got 3 whistles!😁 I love the layout, colors. Love the patio, the storage. Windows are awesome! Love the kitchen counter tops! Fridge is cool! Love the huge kitchen sink. The master is gorgeous! I don't like how the toilet is in that tiny space! Don't like the vents on the floor. Kind of pricey but overall, this toy hauler is beautiful!! Great review Matt and Andrea!!👍👍❤❤

I am really appreciative of this review! Thank you Matt And Andrea! That's a big toy hauler. I am really disappointed in the full bath design. And I would order with a full bath in the garage. And maybe a change from the 4 seat sofa. You gave me a great look at what may be in my future. Thank you again...that's a lot of real-estate! Have a great evening!👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘

If you are in the market for a 40+ TH......minus the side patio....the Grand Design Momentum 397TH is a better 40+ 2 bath toy hauler. More storage, better kitchen design, a full basement, 2 full baths, and not cubicle master bath.

I need a toy hauler...a bigger one than the one I’ve got. It’s bathroom is 1000% better than the full bathroom in this one. I like: storage in bedroom, the patios, and the garage. I dislike: the size of the fridge, I think a smaller one is more practical (that size fridge encourages bringing or buying more food just to fill it up, at the end of the trip, you will be bringing that food back into your home-the fact that it’s not a residential fridge is a good thing) And that room could have been used for something else. Dislike the kitchen. I think a single level to the kitchen counter is preferable and I don’t want to be boxed in when working in the kitchen. If you are washing dishes, someone else decides they want a sandwich, you have to move just so they can access knives. I think Arcadian door would be better for the patios would be better and allow more light in when the patios are down. I’m also not digging the tv outside. When I go boon docking, I wouldn’t want to hear the tv.

You can open the fridge and pass through to the living room from the front door. You can't get into the main living from the garage. Yes the backsplash is one piece.

After six months and six trips with a 429: 3 likes: 1. Side patio 2. Spacious, open kitchen and living area 3. Rear half bath 3 dislikes: 1. Lack of useful storage (especially exterior) 2. Main TV location/angle 3. Workmanship. Master toilet complaints - I am 190 pound not-so-narrow male and I can lift a cheek and wipe my ass without bumping my elbows. Not a problem at all. Biggest pro (like #2) - You can have a dance party in this thing. It is way more roomy than any other toy hauler we looked at, especially the more common island kitchen layout. The space between the sofa and refrigerator slides (opposing slides) is wide open, full width of the trailer.

Great review! Just not into the traditional toy haulers, the toy chest ones make more sense for me. But I don’t have a bunch of toys either. If I had motorcycles or atv’s and stuff, this one would be great. Love the side patio !! Oh, and Matt you are crazy athletic...
