    I 100% agree there should be strict standards in strongman

    Id say yes standards for each event. But not standards that all shows must follow. As lomg as each show makes the rules and standards clear for that particular show event.

    yes. but also no. there should be some guidelines. but a big charm of the sport is that it's not regulated more than necessary.

    Agreed that the world records should have standards. Neither of Biby's lifts for example should have counted, neither should Tamara's at the Arnold's.

    I’m so pumped I’m going to my first WSM ever. I’m a fan of all of them, but Brian is my favorite. I think Evan Singleton will be the dark horse. As long he stays injury free

    That moment with Loz and Anthony Furman still cracks me up. He's mid way through a meltdown when Loz without looking says "he needs to compose himself now". Anthony seems to take that as a message to pick the mic back up and get on with the show 😂

    Out of curiosity, in competition, do the athletes have to wait for a down signal before the dumbbell comes down from overhead? Or does there just have to be a full pause at the top of the rep?

    You have to have it locked out, judge needs to view it as stable then gives down command. Some judges will want it stable for longer than others but there is no rule on a specific time.

    Is he really just training the one arm? Or just on camera? That seems like a major problem for muscle imbalances.

  • @steveunderwood8145

    @steveunderwood8145

    Жыл бұрын

    It’s not really training one arm per se. He’s practising a strongman event (circus dumbbell) and most strongmen are only co-ordinated enough to do the event with their dominant arm. I’m sure Bobby trains both arms and shoulders equally, but here is just practising the movement, which is throwing up and catching the weight at the top.
