You can't build only a large door mechanism on the Bedrock, but you can make them always fully or partially open, or build a smaller door that I showed in the video, all other mechanisms work!

Sometimes aesthetic is worth more than protection. However with that said I normally carve out my bunker 1 block more than I need it so I can have an obsidian layer.

If you are building in Java, the big door and everything else should work. If you are building on Bedrock, then the big doors don't work there, I pointed it out in the video, you need to make them always open or build small doors that I showed in the video
