The demonstration at the beginning is so f**king rad. The combination of a modern-looking machine with a prominent display of analog chaos, the final sound after being routed through the bevvy of pedals...it's so damn cool, and coincidentally (purposefully?) evocative of the visuals of the game that follows.

Tape echo units are both neat and scary considering how fragile the tape is, also the track you made sounds like it should be in that game, amazing!
That EF-X3 not only sounds cool, but it’s so nice to watch. Could be ASMR just watching it and hearing it operate. Great vid!

I absolutely loved the track you produced - and seeing your content alongside others with the Echo Fix shows how truly wonderful it is. Again, your track was really beautiful. I could see it becoming a full-length song. Fantastic work! The Echo Fix has inspired me to mess around with creating a multi-tap delay with a wide stereo spread on my ZOIA. Obviously nowhere near as beautiful, but it was a fun patch to put together!

0:56 If there is anything as a pastel sound, that's how it described this warm yet crisp
I'm pretty sure that if I ever had one of these I'd just turn it on and watch the little wiggly guy do his dance and forget to plug in any instruments. I'd invite people over to come hang out and watch the little guy go, and we'd have such great times waiting to see what it did next and yet it would always find a way to surprise us. One day, I'd forget it's not really a squiggly snake and try to feed it crickets (for tone) and that's when disaster would strike, so I must wish the theoretical Efrim the Echo-Fix EF-X3 a sweet and peaceful rest in clouds of warm warbly wash. Should we use warm character delays during cold months and switch to our clean delays for the summer? How do I match my pedals to the weather? As a huge fan of delay, stereo panning, and hvac noises, I literally could not be happier :)))))

Oh hey this the EchoFix version of the tape delay Brian Setzer uses!!
The four delay pedals going through the EF-X3 are giving me this white noise kind of effect where my brain feels like it's being enveloped by the sound. Very cool! I could listen to it on loop for a while.

I really loved what you made. I am a big fan of Chillhop/wave music and it really helped me unwind which i did not know i needed. The music also seemed really fitting for the game. Thanks for the upload and both of your work.
Regular gear channel: plugs a guitar into a tape echo pedal. Emily Hopkins' channel: plugs the four outputs of a tape echo INTO... FOUR DIFFERENT DELAY PEDALS! 😂😂😂

This almost curbs my gas at more realistic levels cause Im so in love with that tape echo except I doubt it'll ever be attainable for me, at least not anytime soon/even closely within 10 years... A boy can dream tho.. Loved the vid, as always. This is one of my faves tho, that vidja game music you made touched my soul, and did unspeakable things to it. Awesome
I've got a Roland RE-301 tape echo. the whole tape/tape head setup looks almost exactly like the Echo Fix (presumably because they based this on those old Rolands). I've never used it like this with an additional delay pedal after. It doesn't have the individual tape-head outputs though. That's a really cool feature. It does have the ability to split the direct/echo into two different outputs which isn't the same at all, but could help to add a lot more variety if you used two different pedals. It also has the sound-on-sound feature that you can use as a looper which is fun to play with. I'll have to experiment with using some pedals like this. Looks like a lot of fun. Cool video!!!

Those drums were sick. As was everything. I'm a mega huge tape echo nerd fan boi, and that was the coolest tape echo I've seen, bar none. Also prob the coolest use of it that could exist. I could have missed it, but have you ever played with a Binson Echorec? My dream machine, in addition to this guy now, so I'll truly have my lifelong echofix satisfied. 💜

You plug your instrument into them and it changes the sound in a ton of different ways! Some of them are simple like distortion but others get really wild!
the squiggly tape loop in all tape echo machines.... is indeed sentient, just try replacing one on an old space echo and you will become familiar with their fickle moods very quickly. takes a lot of patience but is ultimately rewarding to commune with the tape organism
Holy shit that game track was fantastic, the pedal slow delay isolated adds to the creepy factor
Tape echos can only become sentient if you load them up with Müller-Fokker tape.
