The World's Most Expensive Suit ($40k pure Vicuna) is made by Michael Andrews Bespoke in NYC.
What excited me about Michael Andrews was his unorthodox approach to high fashion. Buried deep within an alley in NoHO NYC you will find a Shangri-La of fine fashion. Here resides the world of Michael Andrews, where fashion starts with a smooth glass of good scotch, a library of fabric swatches, and a casual sit down conversation. This “wearer turn maker” approaches the normally daunting process of suitmaking with a user-aware ease of confidence you would be hard to find anywhere else. The quality of the suits are parallel to anything on Saville Road, and range from the modest, to the embarrassingly expensive $40,000.00 pure Vicuna three piece, of which perhaps only 5 exist in the world. What’s more, Michael Andrews is one of the only fine female tailors in the world, catering the complex and wholly overlooked woman’s suit market, making it truly a forward thinking, and looking, bespoke suit shop.
It was a pleasure to visit with sublime French Hornist Rachel Drehmann and the Golden God himself David Ganat to see how the process was made.

The two "models" look so familiar! I think the male model was on a Survivor series but I just cant place the woman? She looks so familiar! Does anyone know who they are? Thanks.

Good eye, that's my friend David who is the Golden God of Survivor Australia ... the other model is my friend Rachel ... she plays first french horn for the Met and is in a dope band called Genghis Barbie.

I would not eat a sandwich wearing that suit ... I wouldn't even risk it. Ever. Not even a dry sandwich. Like thick cut turkey, no cheese no mayo on pita. Nope.

He's located in a historic area of Manhattan. A lot of those buildings don't have AC because they where built in the 1800's
I’ll pay for a good English make, from a good English cloth. There is too much hype about super whatever cloth.

@@TravelClastmany of the high end cloth have a wonderful handle and are beautiful but many also don’t wear as well and don’t make as well being so delicate. High end cloth is also more expensive so there may be a trade off as to how much of the total cost is the tailor vs the materials. Every purchase is a balance of competing aspects.
