    There are only two things that can happen to a tree. Either they are left alone to grow old, die, rot and fall over or they can be harvested when they’re healthy and mature like this tree. Nothing wrong with the latter.

    That's what I would have expected for such a big tree. It seems to be dry right through the middle, which has take a very long time. I operate a small sawmill and the recommended air dry time is 1 year for every inch of thickness. What kind of tree is it?

    Love the ingenuity, invisible safety glasses, safety flip flops, long very sharp Stihl chain saw while swinging on convex slab of wood from a jib crane without a safety or fall harness or adequate chaps to protect the legs, yet he has a hard hat on.
