The world's largest tire graveyard is worth million dollars. Why don't recycle it?
Each year the world produces nearly one billion tires for cars, trucks and many other vehicles. At the same time, at that time, the whole world also emitted so many tires of all kinds, and were evaluated as secondary waste. Every year, the EU also produces about 3.5 million old tires of all kinds. In the US alone, about 300 million tires are produced every year.
Most countries are trying to find ways to reuse these waste tires, in many forms, in order to reduce the source of microplastic emissions, contributing to environmental protection.
But in Kuwait, waste tires are piled up in mountains. It's so big that astronauts in Earth orbit can see them.
