The buildings are so huge, amazing, it's hard to believe this is a developing country. Western media has always described China as a poor and backward country.I have only been in China for one year, but during this year, I did not see a homeless person. China really feels like the future.most of people in the west can't even tell where Asia is , let alone the difference between Asian countries.

It's just a developed city in a developing country. China has less than half population(above 500 million) live in tier1 and tier2 cities, and only 260 million people live in tier1 cities(which can be called developed area). So of course there are many faces in this country.

It's no easy feat to lift 800 million people out of poverty & at the same time building crazy infrastructures that the rest of the world can only envy. Of course there are still poor people around just like any other country. But at the rate that China is going , it's going to be the greatest country on earth. China is truly the MASTER builder. I can empathise with you, Jack. At the height of the pandemic, our malls and shops inside were restricted in the no. of visitors. I took that chance to shop in peace, without the madness of bumping into people every few steps. Now that things are a bit normal, the crowds are back! Ironically, I like a less crowded mall at the height of the pandemic. It's less stress for the individual who doesn't enjoy having too many people around him/her.

China is using investment to stimulate the economy. The government has invested money in infrastructure construction. On the one hand, it has narrowed the economic gap between the east and the west, and on the other hand, it has resolved domestic industrial overproduction. In the future, Chengdu will build the largest logistics center in Asia。 This is China's version of "Roosevelt's New Deal"

0:53: 500m×400m =200,000sqm. Running 400m around a square field with 100m on each side is typical standard Olympic sprint. 100m × 100m is 10,000sqm. This is equivalent to 20 such fields. Total floor area is 1,700,000 sqm. That's 170 such fields.

I’d like to share my understanding of Chinese characters with people who are interested in Chinese. Chinese characters still retain their pictographic origins. Knowing what the characters look like originally can help understand the meanings and remember them. I’ve spent about 100,000 hours studying English humor and Western culture, and many years studying Chinese culture and jokes. My native language is Chinese.
