One of the biggest challenges of visiting every country in the world is GETTING VISAS.
Yes, even as a U.S. passport holder (one of the strongest in the world), I'm still spening countless hours, days, weeks, and months of my life figuring out how to get approval to visit dozens of countries.
In today's video, find out which are the 5 hardest visas I've had to get around the world (watch until the end to find out which one cost me $3,000 USD!!!)
Which visas have you found to be the hardest to get? Every passport has different requirements for every country (and they often change), so I'd love to hear some of your struggles!

As a Nepali citizen, the most difficult and expensive visa was to the Netherlands. I needed visa to defend my PhD after four years of working at a Dutch university. I was in Mexico, my options were either to go to Delhi or US (I had valid US residency). Took me three weeks and more than 2500 Euros with all the flights and expenses (I crashed with family in the US). My application was 70 pages long and it was a rather stressful and humiliating process. Never again. Luckily, the PhD project paid for this, which I am thankful for. If a Dutch person wants to come to Nepal, they get visa on arrival for less than 50 Euros. Let’s talk inequalities!

I'm from the UK and it took many years for me and was difficult every step of the way. Also, the steps I had to take were exactly the same as for someone from any other country in the world. The US citizenship rules are such that it makes no difference whether you are from the UK or anywhere else. You either qualify or you don't and your previous citizenship is irrelevant. I think you were confusing getting citizenship with getting a tourist visa; in that case, it's much easier if you are from a developed country.

There are alot of neighbourhoods in different parts of India like Mini Afghanistan in Delhi , the Khan kothis in kolkata etc these places are given specially to Afghans to get them a feeling of home. I had to contact a travel agent and convinced him to go to the foreign ministry by himself to get the stamp on the invitation letter. The first time we didn’t know, the second time it was closed third time approved but without the seal etc. so I had to travel frequently from Moscow to Kursk to get updates because they never answered my phone calls nor emails. To get US visa for us mexicans you need to schedule an appointment on a US embassy, appointments are at least a 1.5 year waiting line, you need to fill a lot of paperwork and when you are at the appointment, they ask a lot of questions which I could say like theres an 80% chance it will be denied for no reason and you will need to wait another 1.5 years to make another appointment

For Eritrea, Libya, and Syria, German citizens need a visa, and for Iran you need a visa on arrival yarrr your passport is slightly more powerful than ours!

Even though I currently do not own a passport, I do know that UK nationals don't need a visa for Venezuela - so if you guys own a UK passport and want to go, then you don't need a visa. But of course, different passports have different limitations.

Tyler Parker I have few times been to Northern Ireland and used British currency up there. I have forgotten about Northern Ireland. Thanks for reminder. I am just now remembering a true story about a criminal who has illegally built his home on a border. When police come to arrest him at his home, he simply outsmarts them by running into any room that is on the other side of border. He tells Garda that he can't be arrested on Northern Irish soil. When police from North Ireland arrives at his home, he'd be in another room on Republican Irish soil.

I always imagined countries like Syria to be complete war zones, but your videos showed me the truth. I love watching your videos from my home here in Canada 🇨🇦

My hardest one was to China. There was a live queue in the embasy and we were waiting since 5am. Everything was unclear, and there were a lot of weird rules like print some data and not write it on the form.
