Music has the power to programmed the human mind in either positive or negative ways especially that of kids as their minds are still fresh and quick to pickup things just like a magnet. Music is so powerful that it can even be used by politicians and business companies to capture the attention of the minds to come to their favour. Music is meant to produce MELODY and HARMONY between humans and not the other way round.

@@user-jg4ci4mf8w how highlighting that structural problems in our community are the very reason this shit is happening till this day is not contributing to solving the issue? Not only that, rap music is the biggest genre in music. The internet are changing us in ways we never anticipated as young people. One positive rapper gets successful, 5 gangsta rappers appear with some lying and some way too committed to the acts. More guns than ever, with more economic disparity while the social problems of the past decades havent been solved. Shit, the most popular artists arent even on that mindset, due to how violent their upbringing/losses were, or how this rap game got them extra committed to this negative shit. At least Yayo got some sense on those subjects to realize that only opportunities made him different than the next nigga, and that taking advantage of those opportunities instead of falling in those traps is the right mindset. Bigga is truthful with his thoughts and I feel him but Yayo's opinion is as valid, because we can't start positivity without addressing where the negativity really comes from.

The problem is there are no differences in music anymore. The options were limited. Every artist saw gangsta music as the only music that would make money. It’s only a few artist after the 80 and 90 eras that are positive. I believe Bigga was saying give the public options.

  • @354allday

That was the labels that pushed gangsta music, some of these rappers talked it but didn't live it. Gangsta music wasn't the only thing that made money, it was once it became popular everybody jumped on the train. It became somewhat of a gimmick. That's why movies like CB4 & Fear of a Black Hat are relevant today
