I will say this. As a 55 year old male who has worked with the public most of my life, Sir and Ma'am are second nature and meant as respect. To those who are offended by that, its YOUR problem, not mine. They are terms of respect and courtesy. If you have an issue with that, YOU have the issue. I refuse to disrespect the vast majority who do appreciate the Sir or Ma'am as being courteous and respectful.

+atx4fun So the thing about the word "Ma'am" is that's generally a term used on those who are way older than those younger than them. Tbh though, I'll be 30 next year and I've been called "ma'am" more than one time and I remember it happened when I was 22 at 1 point. But the more consistent it became, the more annoying it got to me b/c it's like "I'm not at that age,"-this was how I thought of that at the time. I never once said a word, but it had annoyed. But also surprised me when I was called "ma'am" for the 1st time too. I remember I had a customer once actually call me "ma'am" abt. 3x before I even paid attention and/or heard them.

I must say I had no issues with trans people before, by default I was supportive and understanding. Now that I saw trans people acting like this on social media, I have issues. Now I try to avoid them as much as possible because you never know which kind of people they are and it seems to me the more they want to stand out instead of blend in the higher the chance that you get trouble.
