The Woodpecker EP 312 - Winter camera support for the cottage

After breaking my action camera on our last trip to the cottage, I decided to make a simple support to hold a normal camera. To test it, we went back to the cottage for 12 days.

Hope your repairs were not too much trouble and expense. I never saw live snow until my mid 50's. After watching this, I'm almost glad I never had to live with it. Frost heaving, burst water pipes and so on. Even snowballs aren't much fun when they go down the back of your neck. That said, it is beautiful.

Thank you, it was $2000 Canadian, as expected to change such a big piece of rubber. I love winter no mosquitoes, no sweat and it's all white and clean. Spring is so dirty, all the crap that is hidden under the snow comes out. Now the snow is all melted and we have some flakes some days but no accumulation on the ground.

I always expect some adventures, if I don't want any I just stay home, it's less likely that I would be blessed with a lot of mishaps than when I go th the cottage...

You got so much more snow than us in Central Ontario. The trails were barely open and most of the fish hut operators did not put the huts on the ice.

I know, I met several people from Ontario on the trails. But around Montreal, where I live, it was awful, even if the trails is at 50' from where I park my snowmobile, I didn't went on my backyard trail this year. Up north, where my cottage is, the snow was OK, about 20" of snow, enough for nice trails, but it's not a lot compared to other years....

After all that, a flat tire also? You sure had a bit of misfortune this time! Oh well, Spring is coming...

Yes the tire had a ballon on the sole and I literally sanded it during my trip. But I went back to try the new track the next weekend and there I broke two rims and destroyed another tire.... I need new rims and two new tires. But lucky for me I always buy my tire at Canadian Tire and pay for the warranty that cover all accident a tire can have. Let say it's not my first tire's replacement
