    Wood elves should be invisible to enemies in s magical forest. Or have access to a stance in magical forests that makes their armies invisible.

    I have to disagree with this. Wood elves are one of the most fun factions for me. Then again I do early ultimate end game scenario basically every time.

    If you just want to conquer the map with incentives play as any other faction. I find most of the factions boring because they are all the same conquer to become stronger so you can conquer more. WE is a great faction if played right easy alliances with anyone because you can just gift settlements to everyone. I once had an alliance with malakith and tyrion at the same time allied with the chaos dwarfs and dwarfs because i would conquer their enemies and give them all the land. You just have to look at it a different way instead of any other faction. Thats why all my games as the wood elves is the best because you can get the strangest allies in a game if played right.

    The eternal guard vs eternal guard with shields is a good decision point for WE as it greatly affects the players build. In addition, you'll often have a lvl 1 or 2 building to build eternal guard, it takes 5 turns to build the 1st lvl of the asari forge (you need a specific reason to build it before turn 20 - 25). Requiring the Asari forge is a steep requirement early game and not having a forge will delay Tier 4 settlement progression. I'd argue W/E Cavalry is second only to Bretonnia and when fighting human players, keep in mind fighting in the woods doesn't get you the -75% melee attack to large units because they have the woodsmen trait, not including +25% charge in woods with a glade captain marked by kurnos, +10 defense if buffed by a GC, & +8 attack for howl by the Glave lord, another +8 attack in forest by a chosen glave lord, +6/+6 for upgrades for wardancers, +5 atk tech, +6 atk if ambush tech, +4 atk for wardancer aux, & speed upgrades. Going ancient treekin isn't plainly the best choice, there are ebbs and flows to the game, although capturing certain trees like the one in Cathay that gives you -30% upkeep with their special building to all treekin is a better argument once you get there. Microing with waywatchers, eagles, dragons, and hawk riders do just fine with infantry/archer support in sieges. "there is no reason to go outside your territoriy". I firmly disagree. Take skavenblight it gives you +12% income for buildings. Take Miragliano you get 10% more building income. Don't just take it, you have to hold it. Yeah, the AI sucks agreed. It takes a lot of bad things for W/E to be threatened. Not every race needs it, variety is the spice of life. Try playing multiplayer and winning against good players who don't take capital cities outside their Trees. The other empire will out grow the WE one every time (assuming the factions are in the same tier). Also, "you can stick with glade guard" a bunch of range is fine vs the AI but try that with a good human player he'll rip you apart.

    The WE mini objective is getting building income factionwide increased by 10 - 15% for each capital taken and built to lvl 1. Skavenblight, Itza, Miragliano, Castledrakenhof, Lamhia, Naggrond, Karak-eight peaks, Khemri, Black Crag, Hexoatl, Sartosa, Konquata, Karaz-a-karak, Kislev, Couronne, Altdorf, Hellpit, and i think the pyramid of nagash.

    I kind of agree with you but i suggest you try the sister in the old world campaign, first time i struggle with a wef campaign, having so much strong lord that hate you just next to you make me feel like Kislev in IE and make a pretty good challenge.

    I wouldn't say WE are slow. You can start as Sisters and confed all of Athel Loren by about turn 30-40. First 10 turns to stabilize home, jump at turn 10 to tree you can secure the easiest, teleport to new tree at turn 20, etc. Confed factions in Athel Loren while you are at it. Always have an army near every tree and sustain it by razing whatever faction you like the least around it.

    I can't say I agree with this summary of the WE gameplay. Saying they're boring cos they don't need to take over the world is a bit silly because you can play passive with any race and have the same experience. The Wood Elves have been characterised perfectly with how they are in the lore.

    The WE have 1 building chain for ranged infantry, 1 for melee elves, 1 for tree things and 1 for cav.

    Please don’t take this the wrong way, but have you considered using scripts? I’m 10 mins in and still don’t get your point? Decent units = boring faction?

    Depends, sisters and Drycha can get really decent campaigns, even Druthu if he can confederate Drycha. Because he can fight in the empire then. There´s 2 trees and if you add the enhanced woodelfs outpost mod you can have quiet a fun campaign. There´s defo no lack of field battles, I have Kemler, Vlad, Orcs and Festus as enemies. Need to fight the battles by hand due to lack of armor but it`s fun.
