The Wonderful Love of Jesus - David Wilkerson - April 24, 1988

Do we truly grasp how much God loves us? No, we surely don't, but the love of Jesus finds us anyway. David Wilkerson talks about how those who have grasped this powerful truth are often those who have been saved from very dark places. Even if we realize this incredible love of Christ, we can allow this knowledge to grow cold in our hearts. We may begin to feel guilty for our daily sins and withdraw from God out of a sense of shame. That is the very moment we must be struck to the heart again by the great and majestic love of God!

Today is our 60th birthday. We are listening to this crying our heart and eyes out. Because what we need the most and have had the least in our life is love, unconditional love. We have received nothing but horrendous abuse from our family and the cult we were born into. We received abuse from our neighbour when he sexually abused us from aged 6 to 9. We received abuse from being continually gang raped by bikies aged 13 to 14. We received even more abuse from boyfriends. Then we come into the church in 88, and we have received judgement, condemnation, spiritual abuse ,ostracisation ever since. So has our daughter, cause we conceived her out of wedlock. We have been told over and over we don't deserve any of Gods blessings that the christians we went to church with were receiving. We spend our days alone in our home with our daughter, both racked with pain from our chronic diseases. But our heart is racked with even more pain due to all the abuse and loneliness, and feeling we will never be good enough in any christians eyes, and have them as friends ,cause of all that's been said to us and our daughter from christians. We need the love of the Lord to heal all the damage done bye the cult and the church. But we feel cause of what's been said to us by cult members and the church that the Lord doesn't love us and accept us either. Yes we forgive all our abusers, and all these christians, but that doesn't change the hurt, damage and pain that is left within our heart, soul and spirit ,because we are still an outcast as far as the church is concerned, and there has never been any repentance from them in our history of being a christian. Yeshua we need your love, please love us and our daughter, and restore what the locust has stolen from us, ever since we were born .

I’m so sorry for everything you went through. Forgive your enemies and pray for them. And remember that JESUS LOVES YOU!

@@poptrio Whilst it's nice you care for our plight. Please next time a severely traumatised person is sharing all they have gone through, how about saying you will pray that the Lord heals their broken body ,mind, heart and spirit, so they can finally know and receive Gods unconditional love. Instead of telling them to forgive their enemies and pray for them. That sounds way more compassionate and understanding. BTW Many severely traumatised people know Yeshua loves them, because the bible tells them he does. They just struggle to feel it, and believe it. Only His healing can change that. So telling a severely traumatised person that Jesus loves them, can sometimes do more harm than good. Because love to an abused person means something completely diff. Seeming their abusers and in our case too christians, all claimed to love us.

@kelandco Poptrio is right. Forgive and pray for your enemies so you can heal and find peace and rest in your souls. That is a command. Forgive our sins so our heavenly Father can forgive us. Love is not a feeling is an action, and it was demonstrated on Calvary. If she still holding grudges from all her past she can not redeem herself with the love, grace and mercy of God because she she still holds to bitterness and unforgiveness. Start reading the Bible and grow in the love and forgiveness of God. In the meantime I'll pray for her and her family and broken lives to be restored and redeemed through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 🙏 💔 ❤️

@@poptrioYou are right. I second you on that. Forgiveness comes first before all your prayer items in the bucket list. Forgive for the start of your healing mentally, physically and spiritually. It's hard but it is a must.

@@arelygomez8710 How dare you both insinuate we have not forgiven any of our abusers within the satanic cult we grew up in or within the church. How dare you believe that our hurting body, mind spirit and soul is only hurting & suffering still , because we have not forgiven. How dare you pray prayers for us that we may forgive those who have horrifically abused us, as if that is the only thing that will heal us. Its christians like you who give christianity a bad name. What you have both done is victim blaming . There is no compassion in your heart and mind for anything of abuse we have suffered, because you got no idea in reality. Try understanding someones pain before you mouth off platitudes like this. BTW there is no restoration with us and our family, because they are full bore satanists, and want to be, and hate our God with a vengeance. There is no reconciliation between us and those within the church, because they wont accept us, love and support us, because of what we have grown up in. and they have never REPENTED. Why don't you go tell christians to repent of their sins, they do against another, that causes so much damage to any already damaged person. Instead of putting all the blame on the person who has been so sinned against, and severely damaged as a result. BTW we read our bible everyday, so don't act like you both know HaShem and his bible better than us. Glad we show more compassion and understanding for broken people, than what you both do.
