Anne Lister engaged in friendship and sexual relationships with a number of women, detailing these connections in a combination of plain and crypt hand across 'volumes a many of journalizing'.
Each of the women as recorded in the journals has her own story independent of Anne's accounts; they are not just dalliances, but complex individuals.

Would have liked to hear Helena more, she really brings the women to life with her descriptions.
I wish the speakers had more time.
Not mad about the way some of the ladies have been short-changed due to lack of time. Very bad not to make sufficient allowance for running over. I would love to have heard the completed facts. Otherwise brilliant.
I am just reading the first entries about Miss Pickford from Anne's diary so I really enjoyed learning more about her here! Thank you a lot for all the research and I'll be pausing all the slides with the info on Pic and the other ladies 🤓

Packed with potential good name as indeed it was. It would have been far better if the chairperson would have given extra time to the Ladies that were not able to complete their information. Interesting non the less.
Bummer the speakers were repeatedly cut off.
Tried to watch this all the way through, but the speakers kept getting cut off, so it took me out of the story. Not saying it's the host's fault for the lack of time, but still.
Enjoyed this to a point but annoyed that many soeakers were cut short making it a ridiculous and waste of time really! What was the point of this then cut off before the speakers had finished...rather rude and ill thought through.

Tqvm toAll for all d sharing of the translation n decoding done on Anne Lister's n women who had been in her life. Without these sacrifices, so much would had been lost in time. God bless us to have had Anne Lister to share her secrets with us today.
