I stumbled upon Stephen. Had a very bad accident with many surgeries back to back. Throw in a plethora of sexual childhood trauma and 2 assaults as an adult. No suffer with debilitating anxiety, panic and PTSD. Listening to this now while I’m in bed and already feeling safer and calmer. Ty Stephan for helping those that sometimes family and friends have absolutely no idea how many of us suffer. To both of you Ty for your post, it gives me hope for reducing my symptoms and hope for cessation of my forever insomnia.❤

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. As my mom and me as well both age I worry so much about losing her. She is my best and only friend. My best friend passed over two years ago and I am taking the loss very hard. It's such an empty feeling without her. Of course I can talk to my mom but it's not the same as having a friend. I try to cherish life and what I have but some days grief wins. God bless you and I hope you're doing well. Many prayers.

I love the thunder and rain. It reminds me of my childhood too.❤ It takes me back to my grandma's house who had an old wood house with a tin roof and a porch that wrapped half-way around it. We sat on that porch shelling peas, shucking corn, breaking beans and cracking pecan shells to extract the pecans. We really enjoyed listening to and watching it rain while doing these simple things that come with raising a huge garden. She didn't have air conditioning so a shade tree or porch when it was raining was where we kept cool. I miss those days so much 😪. My grandma also had a gas stove for cooking and a wood heater for staying warm. This is a great story . I think a lot of us would like to hear more about Hope, perhaps you can shed some light on her life through the memories of her diary. Maybe she was a great artist when she was younger. Perhaps she was married and had children or maybe even grandchildren. Thank you for this simple relaxing and relatable story. Familiar things are very comforting.

I think this is my favorite story. With just the rain songs and voice, no music. Before this, the hotel of sleep beside the stormy sea was my go to because the piano music is just soft enough that it doesn’t cause my mind to listen. I’ve never been able to sleep with music on because my brain thinks it’s time to sing or dance! 😂 But rain with soft thunder is absolute perfection.

I couldn't help thinking of this as I listened to your simple story. Hope is not an action or accomplishment, but it is comforting and brings peace. Thank you so very much. This story is an incredible gift to me at this time with so many touchstone words. I have an Irish heritage that I cherish and listening to your voice feels so comforting. I am in a state of extreme fatigue and need to rest and simplify. The word Hope is the name of the heart failure clinic that I attend. A log cabin in the woods is a real, wonderful memory from childhood. It had a metal roof that resonated with the fall of the rain. A ‘safe’ place is like a sanctuary for me. Melissa is the name of a dear woman who is helping guide me through a difficult time. When you create these stories, you have no idea of how a listener will react to certain words. Many years ago, the best period of my life back is when I got home to my log cabin after work every day, and threw some logs into the fireplace and stared at the ceiling fan for the rest of the evening until it was bedtime. I did this for about three years. Oops this was before I was married, and my wife heard me say that (best period of my life lol ;)

I find the rain sounds in this sleep story to be perfect!! They’re all good but some for me are too static sounding or high pitched or sounds too busy where I wake in the middle of the night wondering what the sound is. I keep coming back to this story because of the rain and the whole story is so calming.
