唐朝末年，梁王朱溫篡位稱帝，建立後樑。後樑奎州城主馬瑛之女馬摘星，結識了自小生長於山林間的野少年。不諳世事的野少年為救幼狼遭到追殺，失足墜崖，被朱溫收為義子，叫他朱友文，封為渤王。十年後，渤王偶遇並救了摘星。他心動於摘星的聰慧與勇敢，摘星也發現，出身草根的渤王雖然已經身居高位卻依然保有著天性中的善良和正義感。在摘星的感化和支持下，渤王反對苛政、扶助百姓、匡扶正義、阻止兄弟相爭，在這個過程中兩人的感情也在不斷加深。
The late Tang Dynasty, King Zhu Wen established the Later Liang after usurped the throne.
The daughter of the governor, Ma Zhaixing, met a boy from the wild in the forest, and they became friends. One day, the boy accidently fell off from the cliff while being pursued for saving wolf pups, and he was rescued by Zhu Wen. Zhu Wen decided to adopt the boy as his son, and he named Zhu Youwen, titled Prince of Bo. Ten years later, Youwen met Zhaixing once again by coincidence, they were attracted to each other. With the support of Zhaixing, Youwen was able to be strong and fight against all the difficulties, and their love got deeper and stronger

This film is SERIOUSLY worth watching. It is so much more than a love story woven into an historical drama. Powerful, haunting it runs deep and is spiritually profound. Congratulations to the actors producers and directors. BRAVO!

Love this edit! I finished the wolf this weekend and cannot get enough of ma zhaixing and wolf boy. The drama is like a dark rendition of beauty and the beast so the song matches perfectly!

That's such a brilliant match 😱😱😱 (I love this song version so much!!!!!😍) and wow the editing is so PRETTY AND PERFECT 😍❤ I just LOVE the effects and the transitions and how you cut the scenes so well everywhere!!! 😍😍😍 everything flows so flawlessly and beautifully and it all matches the beats so perfectly wow 😍👌 0:45 that smile asdfgh!!! 1:43 the parallel there is excellent 😱 and omg that ending???? It's funny, I'm the same, I have a thing for darker themes 😉💀 I'm actually re-watching the Legend of Awakening and also Ever Night at the same time as the Wolf right now... anticipating Douluo Continent and Immortality next year -whoo hoo! 😃😋 What about you dear? @@DarkGhost-co3kg oh both of those are on my Plan to Watch list! haha I'm in the middle of a lot of C dramas Well Intendent Love, General's Lady, Love in Between, Fake Princess...and a few other's. Waiting for Eng subs is the worst because I start new shows and get stuck waiting and then start more new shows and then I end up with a long list of shows I haven't finished! ugh! But I'm really excited about (K drama's) Uncanny Counter and True Beauty every week! They are the highlight of my week now hehe

Lol you're not alone, I will say I have gotten better "a little" with starting a drama and then while I'm standing by for the next episode's subs I'll start another and another etc 😂 before we know it we're lost and have no thinking space left for RL, tying to keep up with dramaland 😋😅 I'm sure you speak for us all when you say it irks waiting on the dang subs to come out! 😣😅 And it always leaves off with a cliffhanger too! 😖 the General's Lady keeps getting recommended for me on my phone, I really gotta find time to check that out, it looks really good 😃😏

Of course he’s good to look at 😍🤪 apparently before the show was heavily edited he was actually supposed to be a werewolf or turn into a wolf! That would have been a very different kind of show!
