@@Dryante I can't say that TW1 and TW2 had bad music, but it just hits differently in TW3.

In my eyes, you're a great man. This is something I want to do with my short meaningless existence. Genuinenly. You're brilliant and awe inspiring. I mean it with my heart. My personal way of showing gratitude to a song is singing it. I don't think I'll ever want to make my own music. I want to sing the songs that made me.

Thanks! I was surprised when I finished working on the record, listened to it and it sounded so good. I usually manage to get a lot worse sound production than that

Ну в какой-то мере это означает, что разрабы добились нужного эффекта - в идеале саундтрековая музыка должна дополнять и подчёркивать игровой процесс, а не перетягивать одеяло на себя, чтобы игрок отвлекался от происходящего на экране и заслушивался.

Heres some info about Skellige's unofficial Witcher School, the School of the Bear, confirmed by emails I sent back and forth with one of the writers who helped work on a lot of their lore(I play the Witcher TRPG, where a lot of this lore is revealed, and it's writer has an ask box): -The Bear School is based in the heart of the Amell Mountains near Cintra, and host their final trial on Mt. Gorgon near Toussaint. -They are loners, and will even time to time fight other Witchers to try and get a contract they really want, but will never kill another Witcher over a contract, just wound, and even then thats after a lot of threats and warnings. If that other Witcher stands firm, they earn the Bears' respect. -despite wearing heavy armor and rumors saying they tank through blows, their armor is very flexible and theyre just as agile as any other Witcher. They also have a scholarly side, pushing the Quen sign beyond any other Witcher school, and have the same level of monster knowledge as the other schools. -They are not based in Skellige, but love hanging out there. This is because, generally, the Bears hate authority and those who try and command them. They therefore get along best with Dwarves, Gnomes, and Skelligers, all who meet them on their own terms and treat them with respect. -Despite being seen as loners, if they fight alongside a person enough, even other Witchers, they view that person as family and will be willing to die for them. -They fight to the death for command of the school. Its not known if anyone has ever beaten the school's founder, a massive witcher named Arnaghad. -they are sort of the "Lambert school". They left the original Witcher school because the test subjects were forced there by cruel mages who couldn't care less about their lives, and then forced to obey a strict code the Bears saw as hypocritical. So they violently left once the original school lost funding. They only stick together so that world leaders don't try to capture them for dissection to learn Witcher secrets or force them into their militaries, and they stick to Witchers work because it's such a rare profession that no one tries to boss them around while they work.

@@TheBlindRaven glad to help :) I play the TRPG and when I found out the lead writer of that has an ask box I had to ask a bit about my character's school, the Bears. Speaking of, I got more info and edited that into the post. I also asked about the Griffins this time and found out that, given that they see themselves as knights, they have a bit of lawful stupid to them and often side with evil humans over innocent monsters, since they have such a rigid code. While not every Griffin is like that, many have killed innocents. They even perpetuated a mass slaughter of dragons based on lies from greedy humans who wanted the dragon's treasure hoards.

@@TheBlindRaven same! Most do leave them alone. The Griffins saw it as their knightly duty to slay dragons. Kind of got kharma though. The original Witcher school lost funding because it's candidates didn't generate enough magical power. The Griffins wanted to live up to the ideals of the order, and so tried to increase their magical power, but that barely worked. They still hoarded tomes like they were proper mages though, and when they refused to share their info with mages who could actually use it, the mages destroyed their school. The Bears had a far nobler end. When they were hired to kill a vampire, it turned out to be a cabal of higher vampires, unkillable. So when the local humans rioted and came for the keep, the Bears could have killed a great deal of them, losing many of their own in the process like the Wolves. But instead, they merely wandered away, and left the school to be buried under the snow.

We only have one instrument as in the original recording, which is the Turkish saz. Everything else is different.
