@@JimmyBanGames What did you hate about it?, the combat (at least on mouse and keyboard) felt so much better than the witcher 3, to throw a sign I just used the corresponding number which is soooooo much better than the witcher 3 in which you first press the sign number and then q. Anyways, I haven't died a lot at all, and I'm currently on my second playthrough chosing Roche instead of Iorveth

I cant get immersed into the world when an enemy takes 30 arrows to the head, or 20 strikes from my swords. the animations sucked to, the whole movement seems completely unrealistic, as if the character is ice skating around. its just shit overall

I find this game has a solid difficulty. Make sure to save often! If anyone has played through dark souls, this game is not as hard as that at all. But still takes some focus and skill.

thank you, very informative. i am starting to really like the game, but it is confusing. i am a little disappointed that when in the quick menu it doesn't tell you what each sign does, meaning you either have to memorise them or just choose one at random. i haven't put much into the game yet though, so who knows.

just picked up the Definitive Edition a couple days ago. on chapter 1 and just got through the I "in the class of madness" quest. anyway. point is: my armor is really good when it comes to humanoid enemies but once monsters come into the fray, my health just drops, is there any way I can fix that, or at least avoid it well enough to be competent till I find better gear? I've been practicing the combat style of 2 hits combo with magic and so on, but sometimes (especially with the wraiths) I just get my ass handed to me and I'm only level 8...

I just restarted my game...I needed this!

On the Xbox 360 version how do I equip a mutagen?

I think you have to have the diagram for it in your inventory. I put all my potions diagram away in storage and couldn't make any. Then I took them out of storage and I could make them again so I'm guessing you need the diagrams in your inventory.

Don't just started this today very confusing not having any problems with combat yet although it is difficult to know the magic signs also how do you know what healing potion is ? I failed one quest without even realising had to protect people in village walked through a door and just like that I failed couldn't go back it looks amazing though I'm sure ill enjoy it

Awesome game, but a challenge. Had no idea what mutagens did or how to use them. Had no idea how to use poisons or oils. Had no idea how to craft or use diagrams to make things. Didn't know which character abilities to invest in.

I bought this game a bit ago and I found it actually difficult to manage...for example, I was fighting the king slayer and I was very weak, because of my management of the skills tree...is something that I need to manage properly and understand it, because right now I'm very weak. I think that, since I just format my pc, to restart the game from the beginning and upgrade Geralt properly this time! Thanks for the tips :)

If your in flotsam you need to craft it. Find some silver ore and find a dwarf in the nonhuman area ask to craft an item

Thanks! That mutagen stuff were really confusing me, had no idea you were supposed to ad it to the character tree, thought it went in the inventory slots, like sword enhancements.

Blazing B You cannot drink potions in battle in Witcher 2. They do allow this in Witcher 3 though!

Thank you very much man, a guy thinks he's good at games, skips the tutorial and then this game just crushes you. Every enemy has the potential to kill you, and the combat system is quite complicated. I thank you for this video. Also, have you tried the game on a controller? I've been playing it on a Dualshock 4 because thats how I played the withcer III but I'm not too sure about it. Whats your opinion?

Wish there was a way to remove old mutagens. I I didn't know what I was doing yet so I wasted lesser mutagens on my first two slots.

Helpful but I have the 360 version and the control whilst being better than some rpgs leads a lot to be desired. I get it is back to the play for 10 hours to get the hang of it. As soon as I saw you flicking the mouse cursor I thought yeah.

Depends what difficulty you play on. On hard this game is really up there in difficulty. Even on medium setting it's a challenge. I'd honestly say it's pretty close to dark souls in difficulty at certain points.

CoolXer0 find some then go to your inventory. drag them into the slot that says 'pockets.' there are like 4 slots arranged horizontally above your gear. you need to unlock a skill to be able to throw daggers though

CoolXer0 They do have a tutorial level sort of thing that completely explains all of the basic mechanics like equipping those into the quickslots, how to lock onto an enemy, how to do alchemy. It doesn't as far as I know tell you that silver swords are for monsters and silver for humanoids, which in my book is like the most basic mechanic to this game. TL;DR play the fucking tutorial
