Finally someone who understands Brother Mouzone. I used to get irritated by people who call themselves professionals and experts saying he was a cartoonish and unrealistic character. Obviously they don't come from places where Brother Mouzones live like us so they don't understand. Another home run sheikh. ✊🏾

Philadelphia was a hotbed for Nation of Islam in the 90s. During that time I ran into a lot of brothers that were Vietnam War vets that found Islam after coming home. You could tell these brothers were not to be messed with.

"That niqqa got more bodies on him than a Chinese cemetery" That is one of the most gangsta descriptions you could get of a character to let you know what time it is. And that was coming from a veteran in the game who seen all types of killers come and go.

No, he fucking doesn't. That's what makes his character so notable and memorable is all we get of him is what we got. Last thing we need is some asshole who had nothing to do with the original writing team runining the character. Have standards guys ffs 🤦
"Using the front entrance different for you huh?" 🤣🤣🤣 Never caught that. Always a learning experience wit you my bro.
Brother Mouzone is probably the most interesting, mysterious and intelligent character on the wire. He's always has a book or magazine in his hands. He's also has a since of humor as well.

I wonder how many people noticed that cheese kind of snitched on stringer when he said I got permission or we got permission only one person could have given him permission to grind in those towers which is why when stringer Bell visit him in the hospital brother already knew that he did it.

I never thought of that phrase and never paid any attention to it. But now It's so obvious! Who else can give such permission? 😂. the wire is too complex. You got permission to sell drugs in Barksdale territory but he sent me here to stop the same .then string comes to the hospital immediately after I am shot. No wonder mouzone peeps immediately.who gave permission to rival gangs?😮. Yeah, string was dead, he just didn't know it. When ever I watch the wire I see New things.

Nuggaaaaaaaa damn.... devil 😈 in the details
One thing I've noticed about Brother Mouzone is that he speaks with so much clarity and eloquence. He's also very direct. Here's the thing though, while speaking to you directly he also holds firm eye contact, carefully studying your implicit reactions to what he's saying. Great content Sir. Appreciate you putting out the videos more rapidly.
The "That's a change for you" line always cracks me up. A usually dead serious man taking a moment in a serious situation to crack a joke like that. Simple but brilliant. But on the real your content is definitely good for making people think. I consider myself to have a keen eye for detail but there's things in this series I never actually thought about that I've noticed watching your content. Keep up the good work.

"Going in through the front" Being a change for Omar could also be seen as a joke to both his methods as well as his sexuality, since he usually "goes through the back" in both instances!
I love how you touched on the Elija Muhammad and the military inforcment wing of the nation. A bow tie wearing dude was also thought to have killed Tupac and biggie. The sketch reminded me of Mazone. 100% he is based off of an authentic mindset. I'm from North Philly, which is mostly flooded by those fake 5 Percenters who loosely adopt their principles from the Nation dudes. I now live in Chicago. And the first time I saw Farrakahn's house, I got out of the car to take a closer look at it because it's such a weird and unique structure. I had no idea it was his house. But the closer to it I got, the more FOI mofos were coming out of the woodwork to scope me. I quickly figured out what I was looking at and jetted! I enjoy your channel and passion for the best show ever created in the history of cable tv.

What I liked about Mouzone was his intelligence. The second Stringer asked him in the hospital “Who did this” he immediately knew he played a roll in it.
Brilliant. Brother Mouzone was one character that they didn't really draw as well as they could have. I never understood where he fit in with the other main men. You've explained it well.
Great video. Helped me understand Mouzone more I can see why he was so feared. It's almost like having the Terminator after you. Mouzone was all business and very little sentiment when it came to his job.
Brother. Beautiful video. I’m a so-called educated Negro; listened to The Brothers speak on 125th, Jamaica Bus Terminal and West Farms Square and Rochdale Community Center. Preach Brother. Teach. Nicely Done.
Bro, you'd be incredible at one of those essay compilation books. Understanding what you're viewing on screen and your knack for translating the nuances of what is being depicted is a natural gift.
The joke Brotha said to Omar was so funny because I didn’t expect it from him. Excellent video
this particular video itself is a piece of top notch art. what a score, what narration. flawless.
As a Dutch person. It is very interesting learning about these topics that are far away from my personal experience. I think I understand Mouzone a lot better because of this great video. Thank you for your work.
Absolute respect to the depth you’ve taken this and Islamic knowledge you’ve implemented. You’ve taken away some of the mystery behind brother Muzone the history and how he works
Well said and thoughtful. I am an admirer of language and it's use to create emotions in individuals and you sir have the intelligence to see that as well. I appreciate your time and skill presenting us viewers with your videos. Thank you

Love your videos man, even before watching I give them a like by default. I wonder if you will ever do a character evaluation of Howard "Bunny" Colvin. I felt that he played a role of the moral compass throughout and he also played a pivotal role in shaping McNulty and Carver into "good police".

And the legend has once again return.🔥🔥🔥☝️☝️☝️
Brother Mouzone's choice in weaponry is also telling: as he says to Omar, he carries a Walther PPK chambered in .380 ACP. The Walther is an older weapon now, developed in the 1930s, but in its time it was popular for its concealability, reliability and stopping power. It was favored by assassins, undercover police and intelligence operatives. Therefore its a weapon for those who respect the past, who operate behind the scenes, and who use their mind to deal with problems, but who are also undoubtedly dangerous. Sounds like Mouzone. It's also the signature weapon of James Bond, another dangerous man in a sharp suit, which feels somewhat appropriate.
@DinsRune

As a bit of a gun nerd, I like examining firearms in fiction and what they say about their users (Omar favors a shotgun and large caliber handguns and revolvers, further giving him a classic "desperado" feel to hit character; Cutty notes that he prefers revolvers for their reliability, reflecting on his own honorable nature, but also showing him to be something of a man-out-of-time after he gets out of prison).
This video was an absolute pleasure. I was sad when it was over and will definitely inspire me to watch more of your content. Your takes are intelligent, well-reasoned and, most of all, engaging. Thank you!
