This interviewee was so refreshing after most of the ones I’ve seen on Jesse’s show. Finally someone who is willing to have a calm conversation and just be Real. He’s not afraid to answer questions or admit that he has flaws (as all people do). So while I disagree with some of his life decisions and philosophies I have to respect his honesty. First time I saw Jesse stunned and almost rendered speechless at times.

    100. Ppl saying things like 'I like his message but his language is blah blah blah". His language is his message. If you can't listen to words... no matter what words they are... then you are not listening to his message. Changing his words or asking him to do so is asking him to not be himself. It's asking him to not be honest. You are asking him to lie to you and himself and use the words that you want him to use in HIS message. Grow up and realize that words are nothing more than strange noises that we make by moving muscles in out throat and mouth. Like a cow or a car horn. Words have the power that we assign to them. No more. No less.

Thank you for tapping out when you did. I was about to tap out. You said it right, thats demonic ways of thinking. But what he said when you tapped out was offensive to me as a white woman. Not a stomping angry type offended. I just feel very sad that he feels that and thinks it and says that. Thank you Van for how you ended this video. You feel as I feel. There was so much wrong but also so much right. I pray that God continues to use him to save kids from gang life. I know sometimes God needs to use a "monster" to save the "monsters". I dont mean that in a bad way. But I think you understand what I'm saying. Someone like me will have no credibility to help and save folks from gangs but my heart wants to. But he has the credibility to dive into the depths of the hell they walk in...and show them a path away from it. Thank you for this video.

Yes what he says is vulgar but the point in what he was saying was lost in his vulgarity. When JLP asked "Do you love America?", what he was getting at was for what he did, he paid his debt, and got a second chance as a black man that did what he did. Also remember now, not everyone lives the same life you do. Not everyone is here to keep everything all sunshine and rainbows.

If you go watch the original video, you can see that he’s playing different characters. Watch the first 12 minutes. He’s very shy and reserved. Yes sir and very respectful. Then at the 12 minute mark he starts to transform into his gang character. Which is outrageous and entertaining. I think he’s trying to reach different groups through truth and some satire to spotlight absurd behavior. He’s not calling his wife a bitch or laughing about watching a white kid die. In his own unique way he’s trying to wake people up.

I look at the skin because I have eyes. You are right to judge someone based on their character. I do think acknowledging that people who look different actually look different is fine. That is the only case where it is acceptable. Being a USMC veteran we fuck around all the time when it comes to race. An example directed at me would be a black friend cracking jokes about talking with my hands since I am American-Italian. An example response from me would be "Hey, pass the watermelon". Sometimes the problem is that peoples experiences differ. I personally think people should acknowledge that we all look different, crack jokes, and share respect.

I know what you are talking about. I was also brought up with many cultures inside the home. People from around the world. My dad's work was part of the reason. I was not taught that white people hate, black people hate, and brown people hate. The word racism never came up. The human race with many cultures. In school is where I learned about hate due to skin color. To this day I don't understand the hate or dislike based on skin color. On an intellectual level, I know that people judge people based on the color of their skin. I don't think or feel that way. There are people in society that judge a person by skin color. How you view the world starts with how you are raised. That is also how you change the world. I raised my children as I was raised. You are the first person that understands what I am talking about. Most people don't understand that there is the human race and many cultures.
