When former police special constable Anne Larkin lost her husband of 34 years in November 2019 she was heartbroken, but her loss was about to get worse. When lockdown was announced in March 2020 Anne became lonely and in need of companionship. Taking to social media, she thought she’d found friendship in not one, but two men. Sadly all Anne had found was a pair of conmen who scammed her out of £500,000. Anne joins us in the studio to tell her story as she admits she was blinded by grief.

Never answer messages from a "star". Think about it, why would someone that's rich and famous try to reach out to their fans. It has happened to me a few times but every time, I ask for a face-to-face call and all of a sudden, they disappear.
"if the bank had warned you that this might be a scam would you have stopped?" "Possibly". Says it all.
No matter how devastated you obviously would be by losing your husband, there's no way I'd ever give anyone especially a stranger 1 penny furthermore nearly half of my husband's fortune he spent his whole adult life building solely for our family

I was the best man at her daughters wedding. I have not heard from any of the family for ten years but i heard her husband died. PLEASE don't be quick to judge. They were a VERY close family and everyone doted on Graham. It must have a very bad effect on someone mentally losing someone so suddenly like that when they're so close. I was so saddened to hear this.

she honestly thinks you get replies from stars when you make a comment like saying you like kim kardashians dress as if she is going to reply.If this woman was a police constable then wow! just wow! would you honestly go on tv and admit everything she just seemed like it was normal

keanu reeves was playing word wars with me, when i called him out he got offended and was gone
She got 1.75 million and gave it to a "star"

Truly sad
I had a Nigerian scammer claimimg to be Keanu reeves, he was persistent i called him out and got him to video call me, i got 2 seconds of a very large black nose and a Nigerian accent, he got really angry when i started laughing, i blocked him.

Sad but it is not an excuse her loss of her husband. Mind you she had been something within the police before. Still did not get it & why on earth start to chat with men after such a big loss as she sad she had when her husband had passed? .
