They remind you of The Beatles because they are Brits and it's from the 60's but this song (which was their first hit btw) is actually similar to the stuff The Kinks (another great British band from the 60's) was doing, at least from a compositional point of view. It's still unmistakably Who but they really found their original sound a couple of years later.
The Who have nothing but great songs.
They remind you of the Beatles, because it was the early days of the British envision. Traffic has a tune called “low Spark of High Heeled Boys”, it is an anthem of that time.
Two essentials from The Who ~ LOVE REIGN O'ER ME and BEHIND BLUE EYES, original studio not live versions. You will LOVE them.
WOW you just reacted to one of the BEST songs ever made by any band ever. Being at the Isle of Wight Festival in the 60s/ 70s I saw and heard The Who , performing all of those songs, SO good

I'm so jealous that you were at the Isle of Wight festival. Hendrix was there too, right?
I'm not a Who fan (this is the exception). Its an amazing record and one of the greatest music videos ever made (1963).

And great dancing (2:30).
Looked through the list of songs being requested and have to give them all a massive thumbs up. Would also add behind blue eyes, Who are you and 9:15 to the list.
Yessss! Stay Blessed!
I can see for miles and miles and miles.....Yes really ! classic Who.
Oooo! Love Honi Moma 🤍 Yes that’s what I was thinking. A real Beetles feel.
The best Who tune is "Love Reign O'er Me". You will love the lyrics to it. They you a 50 piece orchestra for "Love Reign O'er Me". Makes this tune sound like a garage band did it IMO.

Yeah but that's no reason to knock the song it and I happen to love garage band it just them developing,
The Who started recording in the early 1960's and they just released an album about two years ago, so they have a large and interesting catalog to choose from. From "My Generation", to "Baba O'Reilly", to "The Real Me", to "Eminence Front", and dozens in between, you will enjoy them all. Have fun.
If you can find it check out their performance at the 9/11 concert for NYC, October 2001
this reminds me of The Who, I was there :)
Please do The Who We don't get fooled again. Awesome song! It was used as the theme song in the CSI Miami series.
An early one from The Who...

MsToye77 Yep - The songs ' Substitute and ' I can't explain are the earliest WHO singles at the time!
You have to hear Live reign oer me
Plz do, Eminence Front - The Who
The drummer, Keith Moon *hated* miming to recordings, as in this video, and screwed around to literally sabotage it. Check out the *real* live version from 1965. kzread.info/dash/bejne/h52Auq-dobq7ktY.html He was so off-the-hook, yet spot-on, most of the camera work was on him, which was very unusual for the time, when they almost always used to focus on the singer.
If your going to do the who you need to listen to who are you awsome

When I was a kid my older brother and sisters loved the Beatles, stones and a few other groups. The Who was the misfits of the invasion the punks my generation. Pictures of Lilly , my generation and can't Explain were my favorites.

Nothing like the Beatles. Better groove. Love the Beatles but the Who were better musically

@@SimplyKSimone cool. Is old classic rock n roll and r&b guys (50s thru 70s) are really snooty about our music. Sorry if I came off jerky. Big differences though outside of both being from same time.
