I absolutely adore The Dream Cycle, and even just as equally, the HorrorBabble readings of them. I love the fantastic and obscenely lavish worlds that Lovecraft has created, and Ian's readings fit perfectly.

I'm 42, but remember reading The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath at 10 when I found it in the school library. I was like wtf? It was my second book by Lovecraft, the first being The Case Of Charles Dexter Ward. I'd thought that I'd read all of his works now multiple times, but I've never read or listened to this one. At least not that I remember. Thanks for the telling, Ian, your narration is excellent and precise. Are you a fan of Lumely?

Yes sir. I haven't really kept track of his later works, but the Necroscope series was worth the read. The Titus Crow stories are pretty good, dealing as they do with the Lovecraft mythos. Just curious, wondering if you were a fan. Happy Memorial Day, Mr. Gordon! Lest We Forget.

You should listen to the 1990s metal treasure In The Maze of Kadath by Catacomb. The metal tributes to H.P.L.'s work is plentiful.

Was Lovecraft smoking opium? I am sure I should know this but at the moment senility has got the better of Me! (These senior moments are becoming more frequent so I have been using one of the brain training apps...but I still can't remember this Lol!)

Why the man would use the word gay in such a great story I'll never understand, nonetheless he's one of the most intriguing authors to this day, even though he passed away a long time ago.
