Just thought that Madame Butterfly has parallels with Quentin. That's why he cried at the end of the opera. Quentin fell in love with Greg, as Butterfly fell in love with the american man and saw him coming with his wife. They both also dies at the end

I wonder why they didn't do this in the show! Brilliant.
