The Whipsaw Trail

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Whipsaw Trail is one of the most challenging and rewarding 4x4 adventures to be had in British Columbia. My friends and I completed the trail over the course of two days, and this is our story.

Repairing busted diffs on the trail is my idea of a nightmare 🤬 Keeping parts clean is almost impossible and diffs take a lot of setting up to get a good contact pattern, which has to be compromised under those conditions, causing repeat damage further along the trail. Great vid, only just found this, stay safe 🇷🇴🇬🇧

Next time you or someone does a rear driveshaft, just drop the shaft and drive out in front wheel drive. Feels a little strange and doesn't like it if you try to accelerate through a turn on pavement m but it will get you off the trail and then some. Drove my jeep in front wheel drive for a few days until I had the time to fix it.

I've done this before in my military vehicles when I was in the Army. It works great. At least a FWD jeep is better and safer than a RWD one!

Drive shaft came out from the transfer case. Fluid came out. No limping out in front wheel drive when that happens.

Why does it seem like no one aired down? All those tires looked over 20psi except maybe the green Cherokee. Maybe it's just the video but easy way to break shit! Amazing video though!
